I’ve heard quite a few bad experiences from friends about buying used vehicles, so I’m a little nervous about making the wrong choice.
If you’ve recently purchased a used car, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Which dealerships would you recommend, and are there any I should avoid?
I’m looking for genuine recommendations based on personal experience, not dealership advertisements.

Hi folks! I’m planning to buy my first brand-new car, possibly a Toyota RAV4. I’ve only owned used cars until now, so buying from a dealership is completely new to me.
I’d appreciate some practical advice:
What should I check or ask before signing anything?
Can you actually negotiate the price at a dealership? How do you approach it?
Which extra fees or add-ons should I watch out for?
Is around $400 biweekly reasonable for a new RAV4? I understand the trim, down payment, interest rate and loan length all affect the payment.
I’ve heard different advice from friends, and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. Please be kind—I’m genuinely trying to learn and make a sensible decision.

Good afternoon, which provider do you use for electricity and natural gas? Which is the best option in town? I'm moving into a townhouse and struggling to decide who to choose.

Most days it’s not picked up until 3pm at the earliest. Why does it take all day? My friend in another subdivision says hers is picked up right early in the morning after her garbage. I put my recycling out in the morning before I go to work like most folks, but when I check my security cameras I can see it’s all blown halfway down the street as you know GP is famous for its wind. There’s nothing I can do though as I work right until 5! Just a little rant.

I’ve come across quite a few Halloween events, haunted houses, fright nights and ghost walks on Facebook, but I’m having a hard time figuring out which ones are actually worth the money.
I’d love to hear from people who’ve attended any of these events before!
Which ones would you genuinely recommend? I’m especially interested in something exciting, scary, well-organized and worth the admission price.
I’m also open to driving a little outside Grande Prairie if there’s something really good!

Does anybody do this in GP? What's it like? How do they work? Is it mostly just for kids or do adults go too? Just curious, I have been wasting money on these things this year and would be nice to finish a set if I can.

Would love to hear your experiences working at the Dollaramas.

The attached notice was found online a few days ago. The ID Program provided ID for a lot of homeless and vulnerable folks in need across the province. Recovery Alberta is now closing it down in a move that will impact persons across Alberta but especially in smaller cities like Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and Grande Prairie.

From what I could find online, there isn't a replacement program available except for the Navigation Centres in Calgary and Edmonton. Super sad for the vulnerable people this will effect.

This would’ve been between 2013-2015. It was a motel, 2 story’s. It had a restaurant with a few pool tables to play at later at night. Charged about $60 a night.

Has anyone else been accepted for 2027 and want to connect? 😊
