I see a lot of people in this subreddit talking about how they struggle to keep the momentum to finish a song. This might not apply for everyone but I love to cook up a song in an hour using samples and one shots. Don’t try to focus on one specific sound for hours on end if there’s no skeletal structure of a song. Throw a load of ideas at the wall and see what sticks. Create the bones, add, subtract and see what you make within an hour or so. Once you’ve got the creativity flowing, try and make a new song with your own sounds

This is what I made in 45 minutes using only samples sounds. Yeah u might think it’s cheating, but I’m not releasing this anywhere, I’m not looking to finish it, it just helps me go into making a new song with my mind already in creative mode. Hope everyone’s having a good start to the day 👍

(what could be done better?)

Been trying to get better at sound design and making Serum sound as analog as I can, has a decent warmth to it I think.

I need an artist to work with

**New to FL do not judge :)**

Whats your thoughts?

Was very inspired by a lot of hyper-pop artists, but due to "professional" deformation I can’t help but insert DnB drums :))

If you can't recognise what I'm singing, it's because vocals are in Russian, hope that doesn't bother anyone ^-^

Most of the song is Serum, drums from Singomakers, vocals by me. And this was probably the longest FX chain for vocals that I have made, hehe.

I usually only see people post basic chaining like EQ, Reverb, delay and what not

the last of the video specifically on the 4th and 5th sec is where the specific instrument is being played , it's driving me crazy , the instrument sounds very familiar to me yet i still couldn't find it , the closest i could think of is a harpsichord

Hi! I want to use speech-to-speech to turn my voice into a child's voice. I tried with Claude and GPT, but the result sounds robotic, and I couldn't get good results with FL Studio either. Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi I'm trying to make anything's root note another note. But it ALWAYS defaults to C. Anyway to fix this?

Can't get any of my projects to open. I've tried setting default apps and opening through a blank temp. I was just on FL 25 yesterday and now this. Please help.

just as the title says, I know I’m in time but why is it starting on the 2 then comes back to the one?

I can even record notes in the 321 countdown and I’ve never witnessed anything like that before in my life

I missed the last sale that was a few weeks ago, it was like 50% off, I was short on money at the time, is there a chance FLS will go on sale soon, Black Friday perhaps?

I really want to write music. It has been a dream of mine for years. I have had FL studio for a while, and have spent probably 100 hours trying to write music, but I simply can't write anything good. At all. I've watched all the way through about 20 tutorials, none of them are really helping. I've tried deconstructing some of my favorite songs to learn from the composers. I've tried using song starters and random notes and stuff like that. I've done everything I can think of.
I'm not sure if I just can't write music or if I'm watching bad tutorials or what. I'm close to just giving up, but I really want to make this work. Does anyone have any tutorials that they found incredibly usefull? Something that could actually help me write music?

Hi everyone, I use majority soundfonts in the music I make and I found out that apparently the newer 64 bit soundfont player doesn't sound as good as the older one in some older versions of FL. I did some testing and it is true that some soundfonts do sound a bit muffled and compressed on newer versions, but this is only some.

I was wondering if it's worth it to use an older version of FL (like 20 or 12) to use the older soundfont player or if its not that big of a deal to use a newer one maybe using a 3rd party player or just using the newer one. My only problem with potentially using an older one is that they don't run quite as well and other people use soundfonts on newer versions and their stuff sounds fine. So I'm not really sure how much it actually affects the sound.

Thanks!

blacks are back - jackal queenston
not short, "woody"
medium-length
not dirty, but with a soft visual texture
yet firm at the same time
(for DnB)

Thanks in advance for your help !

i love the idea but doesnt even work with FL man, also 100USD, it has a free version with 50 pulls per week i think, feels vibecoded, but not sure.

i made all of this on my own last 2025

if you want lyrics:

So what are we going to talk about today?

(Uh, I don't know.

Most of the time, I can't help

but think that

maybe

if I grew up with more,

maybe I would have been something.

I don't know.

Something. Anything.

Now. Now I'm just

really really tired.

I'm so tired.

To the point that)

At any moment

I feel like, I'm gonna vomit

explode, and

vanish into nothingness.

How did I get here

without losing my mind? I'm

so tired of being enchanted

by the neverending curse

of living crisis (I-I-m)

So sick of using sleep

as some form of escape

from all of my stresses

And I'm so over of myself

letting all these ancient pains

enslave my system

----

Just because someone lives a slow life,

'doesn't mean they're doing it wrongfully

Looking back, I wish I had stopped you

from projecting all of those onto me.

I don't hate you, just to be clear

i just hate how privileged you are

I hate how out of touch you are

i dislike how protected you are

i dislike how entitled you can be

i hate how powerful you are (You are!)

I hate how privileged you are

----

What's that? I don't even remember

setting up an alarm

or owning one ever in my life.

Still I

still I

uh-huh

no one is safe (move)

unless you

are too fcking privileged.

Wake up, go to work, and go home

wake up, go to work, go home (repetition)

(move. move for me)

Did you think that you earn the

right to give career advise

just because you have a high-paying job

and you live in America?

(I hate you, actually, I don't)

(I hate how powerful you are)

(I hate how privileged you are)
