trans acceptance/experiences in emory?

hi, I'm a high schooler considering whether or not to apply to emory (I really like emory from what I've seen), but I'm not sure if I could go there bc of its location. the american south is not particularly good for trans people (in terms of both legislature and sometimes the people), and I'm wondering what I should know abt it. would I be able to medically transition? what would be the social implications of living there as a trans person??

(for context, I live in massachusetts)

Hello, Emory is one of my top choices here and one of the things that I am interested in contributing to is the radio station. Is it like a club that anyone can join? Can anyone interview artist? Can anyone suggest songs? lmkk
