Hi my name is Jay I'm 32 and I use to go by the name Urbex_Panda. I use to be an urban explorer locally and would also travel the US exploring abandoned places for videos and photography but pretty much retired from that now. It was hard to keep a partner with how much I was needing to go exploring because I couldn't find a local willing to be fully dedicated in this area. Now It's been almost 5 years since I explored and have been missing the fun adventures and thrill that came with that lifestyle.

From exploring abandoned places I have had pretty weird things happen inside them that got me really questioning the paranormal. I recently have been looking for someone to start a YouTube channel with investigating haunted places and helping me film and investigate.

For anyone looking for something cool to do outdoors this weekend, the annual Antelope Island Bison Roundup is happening this Saturday, Oct. 24.

If you haven’t seen it before, horseback riders herd hundreds of bison across the island directly into the handling corrals for their annual health checks.

Logistics & Viewing:

• Where: "The Rendezvous" site at White Rock Bay. This is the primary spectator hub and the best vantage point for watching the final push into the corrals.
• When: Festivities start at 10:00 AM and run until the final bison is corralled (usually around 3:00 PM).
• Admission: Standard Utah State Parks day-use entrance fee applies (or your Utah State Parks annual pass).

A few tips if you're planning to go:

• Arrive early: The causeway line backs up fast on roundup morning. If you arrive right at 10:00 AM, expect to sit in entrance gate traffic for a while.
• Bring binoculars: Binoculars, spotting scopes, or telephoto lenses make a huge difference while the herd is still on the approach.
• Pack for the weather & terrain: Bring camp chairs, water, and wind-resistant layers—White Rock Bay can get very breezy.
• Leave pets at home: With working horses and hundreds of stressed bison, dogs are best kept away from the event areas.

Davis County, it’s clear Blake Moore is going to give more of the same of where we’re headed as a country and as a state. Are you fine with that? You want more corruption? Broken national security? More inflation and national debt? More policy leading to environmental destruction? It is doubtful the district is flippable, but it’s time to take a stand. Pay attention. Spread the word. Get registered, and get out to vote in person if necessary.

I’ve stayed at La Quintas before and I know not to expect much. But I’ve generally been happy enough when I’ve stayed there. This is easily the most nasty looking hotel I’ve ever stayed in. They put me on a floor undergoing active renovations, the elevator buttons don’t work properly, the laminate flooring is peeling up in my room, the toilet constantly struggles and the pool area is also closed.

Again, I get this is a budget hotel and I’m not expecting 5-star service, but as someone who regularly stays at budget hotels this is awful.

Oh and one more thing! As I was packing up and about to post this, I found a moldy sippy cup under the bed

Are there any jobs available for someone with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies that pays $20-25 an hour? I've been looking for a job in the area for 6 months. I've applied for 15+ different jobs at the school district, Costco, behavioral health places, and office jobs and I'm just not having any luck. I've had 6 interviews as well and each person has told me I interview well but they just go with a different applicant. I'm very frustrated because I have a lot of experience and I spend so much time applying for jobs, perfecting my resume and cover letter, looking polished and put together for interviews as well as practicing what I would say in the interviews. I feel like I do decently well in my interviews.

It feels as though there are way too many people needing jobs compared to the jobs that are available. I had an interview for a para position at an elementary school and they told me they had 15 interviews and went with a different applicant. It's so frustrating getting turned down multiple times after multiple interviews! Money is tight and I'm very qualified for a lot of different positions due to my previous job experience, life experience, and the fact that I have a bachelor’s degree now. I've been a Direct Support Professional, a job coach, a marketing assistant, a nanny, a waitress, and I've even spent time abroad teaching English. I'm very knowledgeable of disabilities, family issues, building rapport, communication, confidentiality, abuse and neglect, organization skills and so much more. I've worked really hard to get where I'm at and I would love a job that could fit my experience.

Having trouble with UTA on Demand. I used it nearly everyday through last August to May for ride shares to get home from work with no issues but I think they changed it over the summer. I can’t seem to get the ride share option anymore it just automatically redirects me to the nearest bus. Is anyone else finding the app difficult/different?

My wife and I ride recumbent trikes And I need someone to do some brake work and tuneups. I am disabled and we used to have someone who came to the house to work on them (Swiftfix), but he no longer does trikes. So I am looking for somebody close to the area. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Davis county!! I’m doing a project for my master’s degree that is collecting a bunch of resources in Davis. I wanted to put out here and see if anyone knew anything!!

Does anyone have good recommendations for good cities/areas for a young professional/grad student to live in Davis County? I did my undergrad in Utah County and went out of state for grad school. I’m working in Weber and Morgan County but don’t particularly want to live in either. I’m looking for a fun, social area with young professionals and/or grad students since I’m 26. The closer to the I-15 and/or the frontrunner the better just with the commute. I also have student loans to pay off so I’m also not looking to break the bank haha.
