Hey Fire fans!
Hope this is okay to share here (mods, please delete if not allowed).
I recently published my first book, Miami Before Messi: A South Florida Soccer Tale, which tells the story of the Miami Fusion and their four wild seasons in Major League Soccer from 1998–2001.
I thought this group might appreciate it because Chicago and Miami entered MLS together in 1998, but obviously went on to have very different histories. While the Fire won the double in their inaugural season and built a lasting legacy, the Fusion eventually found their footing, won the 2001 Supporters' Shield, and then disappeared altogether.
The book is built around interviews with former players, coaches, front office staff, supporters, and owner Ken Horowitz. My goal was to preserve a piece of early MLS history that I felt deserved to be remembered.
I've really enjoyed revisiting that era of American soccer through this project, and I figured some longtime Fire supporters might appreciate the nostalgia.
If anyone is interested, the book is available on Amazon. Happy to share a link!
And I'd genuinely love to hear from anyone who remembers those early Fire–Fusion matchups. What stands out to you about that era of MLS?

Hey all. I have a ticket in the 300 level United Club side for the match on Wednesday. It was super cheap so I grabbed it. I’m looking at the Ticketmaster map and the 300 level doesn’t even show up, despite the ticket showed up on the Ticketmaster list and let me buy it.
Does anyone know why it would be available to buy if it’s not even showing on the map? Do they definitely open the 300 level club side? I’m looking at some photos and I see they oftentimes have tarps in this area, so I’m definitely a little confused.
Also, does this give me access to the same club area as 200 level club holders?

I want to learn more about all the different variants and rarities. All the autograph and numbered cards seem so crazy to me!

So by my math Lewandowski might be on a record goalless streak.
The Fire got 3 points in ATL for the first time, but man, a lot not to love in this one. (Then again, there was the indirect free kick goal off a back pass, which I have nothing but love for.)

The competition is friendly. The impact is real.
The inaugural Columbus Crew vs. Chicago Fire Blood Battle puts fans on both sides to the test. Each club gets one day to donate, with one blood drive before the Nov. 7 match and one after. Every eligible unit collected adds to the club’s total. And when the final donation is counted, one club will claim the Blood Battle title.
The Fire's blood drive is Saturday, Nov 14th. Register at the link. At the drive, there will be player and mascot meet and greets, and all donors and attempting donors will get an exclusive Fire "We Bleed Red" t-shirt. Families welcome at the event!

Rules
You are REQUIRED to post in the thread to be "officially" scored. If you don't, your score wont be added in the overall standings.
There are 3 "pages", general stat questions, starting XI, and the goal scorers.
Starting XI is cleaned up and organized but I want to make it clear that the names I'm using are from the rosters on the clubs' sites.
For the goal scorers, you can select multiple options but I will be comparing against the total scoreline. IF YOU SELECT MORE THAN THE TOTAL SCORELINE, YOU WILL BE DEDUCTED POINTS!
Once the match is over, I will add the responses, add the scores to the table, and reply to this thread. REMEMBER, you must reply here to be added to the table!
Responses will be accepted up to 90 minutes before match start.
How to play: It's simple! Fill out the form here.
To encourage your reply, respond "Replied".

As a lifelong Chicago sports fan I specialize in worst case scenarios. The matchups over the next three games aren't bad, we could win out. I'm making my best guesses on the other games but really we could still finish 2nd (win out and final day losses for MIA and NE against CLT and ORL) or could finish 6th. But if it works out like below, we finish 4th with a PHI match up. The bad feeling - a cold November loss to Philly at Seat Geek - same ending as last year. Progress?

I want to get my authentic jersey customized do they have matching colors for this kit? I’ve done it before for the red kit, I’m just not sure if they have the blue and red available. Anyone know?

One more yellow and it’s a one game suspension. Pretty certain Dje will miss a game. Maybe TLB. Hoping they can avoid a card tonight so we have them for Orlando. Some of the others fighting for playoff spots have some danger but New England is clean.

Throw whatever excuse you want , but we’ve all seen Barlow play for the Fire. For him to be outperforming Lewandowski when the Fire imo are a much better side is absurd.
I think at this point it’s clear he should be coming on as a 60th minute sub the rest of the season and maybe he’ll perform better after the break for the sprint season.
