Hey everyone, we're a group of Cal Poly students working on a project called Get Prepped. A lot of our friends say they want to meal prep but get stuck on where to start: which recipes, how much to buy, and how to cook it all without losing the whole Sunday.
The idea: you paste links to recipes you already like, pick how many portions of each you want for the week, and it builds one combined grocery list sized to those portions, so you don't buy a whole bunch of cilantro for one recipe. Then it gives you one step-by-step cooking plan that batches the shared prep, like dicing the onions for all three recipes at once.
It isn't built yet. We're checking whether people actually want it before we build it, so honest answers help a lot:
- Do you meal prep now? If not, what stops you? If yes, what made it stick?
- Would a combined, right-sized grocery list help, or do you already have a system?
- Is this something you'd pay for, or would it need to be free?
If you want to see the idea or get early access, it's here: https://imajedimastr-debug.github.io/get-prepped/?utm_source=reddit_calpoly. Joining is free and nothing is charged. "I'd never use this" is just as useful to us as "sign me up."
