Girls Trip
Hello!
Me and my best friend are interested in going to Boston next year. Possibly in the Spring or Summer. What are some MUST dos for visiting Boston? We are in our 30s(F) and love going to museums or basically anything “touristy”. Is renting a car necessary? We live in Georgia where you basically have to drive to any destination. Thanks so much in advance!

TD Garden/ North Garage Parking
I have pre-purchased parking for an event this week and have discovered that my VIP checkin time will require me to park and be at the venue more than 4 hours before the concert starts. I know I can stay for 8 hours (4 hours before and 4 hours after start) and pay any additional rates if I leave more than 4 hours after the concert starts. Has anyone had experience with paying additional fees to park with a pre-purchased parking pass more than 4 hours before the concert starts? Thank you for advising.

Lost Fujifilm X100V at Harbor Point near UMass Boston. SD card has irreplaceable family photos
UPDATE: The camera has been turned in! A huge thank you to whoever turned it in. Those photographs of her grandfather mean so much to her, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness. Thank you to everyone here who helped or shared this.
Original post:
Hi everyone, I'm posting for my girlfriend, who lost her Fujifilm X100V at Harbor Point on the Bay near UMass Boston.
The SD card holds the last photographs she ever took of her grandfather, who has passed away. Those photos are irreplaceable to her. Getting the camera back would mean a lot, and even recovering the SD card or the photos would mean so much.
If you found it, saw someone turn it in, or know where it may have been handed in, please message me here on Reddit. If you have the camera or card, please do not format the card or delete the photos.
Thank you for reading and for any help getting these memories back to her.

Politics Mike Minogue - A bleak sign of things to come?
I think we can confidently write off Minogue's candidacy at this point. Never in history have the Suffolk, Umass, or CWB polls been 20+ points off individually and the chances of him overturning that with the aggregation of the three is a near statistical impossibility not seen in modern electorate polling. For those opposed him, it's a relief, and for those who support him I'm sure it's a gut check and wake up call that a MAGA candidate will struggle in Massachusetts.
That said, I wanted to see if people feel that he's done, or is currently doing, lasting damage to the Commonwealth's political environment on a smaller scale than what Donald Trump has done nationally. There has of course been a normal tit-for-tat battle against an incumbent and his views on abortion aren't mainstream in our state, but there have been elements about his rhetoric that have been more concerning and more sinister. His parroting of "waste, fraud, and abuse" has been Trumpian and rumoured belief that 2020 was stolen should be disqualifying. I'm going to steer away from the "toxic masculinity" conversation with him but there are elements of that becoming more prevalent as well. An obsession with showing him working out, his ZYN embrace and promotion, and his contempt for Healey have been pretty eye opening.
Has he brought our politics to a new and darker place in the Bay State as a Trump-aligned candidate who will be coming back for more and is there an increasing appetite for his brand of politics brewing in the state? No wrong answers, vote as you need, not trying to anger anyone.

Astronomy outreach event at the Boston Common for ~1000 people
Did an outreach event yesterday at the Boston Common that lasted almost 8 hours and had almost 1000 visitors!
I didn't have a lot of time for photos but helped a run of people take their first photo of the moon thru a telescope.
I had a Dwarf Mini, Sv503 102ed, and a Lunt 40 on the field. Also an S30 pro that I didn't have the capacity to run. The sv503 had a sun funnel during the solar event and an eyepiece during night event.
Organizations involved were PopScope (https://instagram.com/popscope\\_boston), the Amateur Telephone Makers of Boston, Dark Sky Mass, and the Space Consortium. I (Naztronomy: https://instagram.com/naztronomy) are involved with all of these organizations and took part of every event. My legs are feeling it today. Huge volunteer turnout as well!

Out-of-Towner First Trip to Boston
Hi everyone! I’ll be visiting Boston for the first time in November and would love some feedback on my rough draft itinerary.
On Day 4, I’ll be exploring solo before leaving in the late afternoon. I’m a little hesitant about walking long distances or navigating the subway alone, so I was thinking of saving Harvard and Harvard Square for that day since I could spend most of my time exploring one area.
I’d love to hear whether this itinerary makes sense to those with experience navigating the city or what should be rearranged, especially on the last day. I’m hoping to experience some of Boston’s must-see sights while also incorporating places that locals genuinely enjoy.
I haven’t settled on specific restaurants or coffee shops yet, so I’d especially appreciate recommendations for clam chowder, lobster rolls, cannoli, and good coffee shops!
I also realize November weather can be unpredictable, and I’m not familiar with Boston traffic or public transportation, so any advice from locals or people who have visited frequently would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Day 1: Arrival around noon
Boston Common
Boston Public Garden
Beacon Hill / Acorn Street
Dinner in the North End
Day 2: Historic Boston
Freedom Trail through historic downtown
Boston Public Market for lunch
Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum
Dinner — undecided
Day 3: Museum District (not a full day, set plans after 5 pm)
Fenway Park
Lunch
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Museum of Fine Arts (MFA)
Day 4: Departure in the late afternoon
Harvard University
Harvard Square
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, itinerary changes, food recommendations, or things you think are especially worth experiencing in Boston in November!

Boston Trip
My boyfriend, my dad, and I are all going to Boston for the patriots packers game in two weeks and we are spending two nights in boston before we head to foxborough and looking for advice on things to do in the city. we are really into sports bars, dive bars, good food, exploring the city. We are planning on doing a tour of TD garden. I really want to get a lobster roll somewhere on the water while we’re there. Any recommendations would be great.

Help Requested Psycho in Brighton
Hello,
Last night I was parking my car in Brighton and pulled up behind a car about to pull out. It turns out someone had put a dead rabbit on their car front window and wrote a vicious note on their car.
All because they parked in a place that “is made for 2 cars”.
I’ve gotten a similar note on my car and it seems like this person is certainly dangerous.
This happened on Woodstock Ave. in Brighton and I’m trying to find out who the culprit is.
If you live around this area and have a similar psycho, please let me know and report it to the police.

Seafood in Boston
I’m coming from Canada to the Boston area for a concert next August (at Gillette in Foxborough but will likely be spending most of my time in Boston).. I know there are obviously going to be an abundance of seafood places but if there’s any local gems or great spots anyone could recommend that would be greatly appreciated 🙏
