When Bitcoin looks terrible, that's usually when the best accumulation opportunities appear.
Every time BTC looks terrible, the gurus turn bearish, and everyone starts predicting lower prices, it often turns out to be one of the best times to accumulate.
The hardest time to buy is often the best time to buy.

Paid in bitcoin: can your employer follow what you spend?
Your employer pays you 0.020 BTC. A few days later, your wallet uses that output to pay a shop.
Your employer knows the output they sent. They can see when it is spent and inspect the new transaction’s outputs and amounts. The blockchain doesn’t label them “shop” and “change,” but output sizes, a round price in local currency or a known address can provide clues.
A fresh address helps avoid address reuse, but the sender still knows the output they created. Moving the whole coin to another wallet may leave a direct one-input, one-output transaction. That shape alone doesn’t prove who owns the destination, but it doesn’t erase the trail.
Combining the salary with a coin from another source in an ordinary transaction can give an observer a reason to associate both inputs. CoinJoin can make the path to later spending harder to follow; combining a resulting coin with an identifiable salary output afterward can create a new link.
I wrote an illustrated article about what an employer can see and how different privacy tools address different parts of the problem:
Disclosure: I’m an independent Bitcoin software developer focused on privacy. I contribute to Ginger Wallet, Wasabi Wallet and Bitcoin Core.

Why Bitcoin Needs Capitalists (Whether You Like It Or Not)
On my podcast ‘Bitcoin for Millennials’ I discuss why Bitcoin capitalists are dragging Bitcoin across the adoption chasm, what Rogers' adoption curve teaches us about how every technology reaches the mainstream, why the 2022 blowups were never Bitcoin failing, why with no lender of last resort reckless players blow up against Bitcoin, and why paper is a real danger.

How do you think Coinbase earnings will impact BTC?
Strong earnings numbers in volume and custody from Coinbase could drive BTC higher by confirming institutional inflows, while weak data might create short-term downside pressure due to lower liquidity. However, this direct impact on Bitcoin typically lasts just hours or days before macro factors and ETF flows take over again unlike $COIN stock, which will see much higher volatility. Do you guys agree?
DCA Bot for Kraken and Bitvavo
Hey Reddit! I’m excited to share a project I’ve been just vibecoding in the last couple of days: an open-source, Docker-based DCA bot for Bitvavo and Kraken. It automatically schedules DCA crypto purchases based on your available balance through the APIs of the exchanges, and includes a local web dashboard for analysis plus (for familiar German users) Parqet-readable CSV export.
Check it out: https://github.com/oli792dev/docker-bitcoin-dca
I have only tested it for Kraken Pro, but it should work also for Bitvavo when you set it up as described in the readme.
I’d love to hear your feedback and ideas for improvements! It’s a personal software project, not financial advice.

Crypto exchange BTC holdings public??
If it isn’t law that all crypto exchanges must publicly list their BTC addresses for proof of ownership it should be! Is this a dumb post because it is already law or not? (I honestly don’t know :))

I’m 25 and I’ll be taking a 130k euro, mortgage loan (against my apartment) to buy and hold BTC. Any thoughts?
Edit 26.10.26
Sincerely thank you all for the critique and advice. This is my first serious reddit post and I'm amazed of how many different perspectives I got and how that can change ones thinking.
Pre story- In 2023 I advised my parents to Invest in Bitcoin, they made 5k -> 15k in a year. Then they gifted me the sum to invest. Through 2024-2025 I gambled/traded them away in crypto chasing bigger returns and trying to justify my time without a job. From then till now I have a stable and well paying job and have created a small foundation in my life (discipline and independence).
A brief of my situation now: I got a pretty good life- a great job, gf from 7 years, close with parents, a couple of friends and time and freedom to pursue what interests me (apartment, car, garage). The only thing missing is a true career/competence in a field (which for a man is important).
Brief of the loan: 130k. 3% interest, 30 years; After 1st year you could repay without costs; taxes are really low and legislation is pro crypto.
The overall Pros of the plan: in purely rational terms whatever you make above 3% a year is profit, you're leveraging an asset to buy an even harder asset, I've already be burned and think I know how to hodl now, you will have to take a loan for something at sometime in life, why not on Bitcoin?
Overall Cons: not worth the strain on your life, gambling your future, gambling your only safe haven, bad risk reward, DCA-ing the monthly fee would earn comparable returns in 30y.
There is so much more to life than Bitcoin- purpose, emotion, contentment, happiness, progress- not just number go up.
However, I'm too much ahead in the loan process and tomorrow I'll be signing the contract and from November I'll have the funds.
Based on everything I read I plan to: allocate the amount in parts carefully, don't rush and buy as I would DCA, see if my conviction about life and the plan is after 1 year and decide if to continue.
Again, thank you all for the help and support, you opened my eyes :)

Transparancy Issues Bitcoin
The exploitation of bitcoin needs at least these 3 things:
Core Bitcoin Developers
Protocol updates
Bitcoin Governance Voting System.
This third thing is giving me doubt. how transparent is this Voting system and how do we know that the voters dont have private intentions behind their vote?
