Hi everyone. I’m currently in a really difficult financial situation and I’m hoping I can get some help with groceries.

I’m a college student and I’ve been having a really hard time finding a job. Right now, the only thing helping me get by is the small amount of money my parents are able to give me, but it isn’t enough to cover my basic food needs. I currently have very little money left, and I’m struggling to afford food until I can find a job.

I made an Amazon wishlist with shelf-stable foods and other groceries that I would actually be able to use. There are a variety of different price points on the list, so please don’t feel like you need to buy a lot or spend a certain amount. Anything at all would genuinely help me.

My name is Nicholas, I am 28 years old, and I am a single father to a beautiful 8 year old girl, Chloe. We live in New York, and I went through hell and back with family court to get custody of her. She was forcibly removed from her mother’s home by CPS, and by the grace of god, I was able to save my daughter from her abusive environment.

I made the mistake this week of not budgeting well this week. I am used to living paycheck to paycheck as the sole provider to my daughter and I, but this week I had to pay the remaining balance of her birthday party on November 8th (209$) as well as her Halloween costume (45$). No, her mother does not pay child support and she has abandoned her visitation and parental rights as well.

I was hoping to ask for 50$, just to fill my gas tank. I had to call in to work today (thankfully I have PTO) because I only have 30 miles in my car and 2$ in my account. Any money would go straight into my gas tank so I can get back to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, until payday on Friday.

Cash App would be the easiest as I have a physical debit card with them, but Venmo or Apple Pay would also be helpful if an alternative is needed.

Hello, it’s my first time posting here and I’m a little bit nervous and hopefully I followed the rules properly.

I am currently in Saskatchewan and have been on Saskatchewan Income Support for a few months due to mental health issues. I receive a food bank hamper every 2 weeks normally, but was unable to make my last food bank hamper last until the 29th of October when I receive my assistance income, due to the contents of the hamper (it varies).

If anybody is able to help me with groceries and a bus pass, (I receive a discount for a bus pass, it is $25CAD) and about $30 for groceries to last until Thursday I would appreciate it so much. The bus pass will allow me to get to and from a couple of appointments I have this week, as well as get to and from the grocery store, as I do not have a license.

I have to admit I feel a bit ashamed asking for help but I don’t speak with my family any longer and figured I would give it a shot here.

I live in Alabama and am self-employed as a therapist and have fallen on hard times recently due to missing work due to illness (and not getting paid) and also unexpected car repairs, the cost of ongoing health issues (breast cancer and liver issues related to the hormone blocker that I have to take because of the breast cancer), and related medical expenses.

I owe my mortgage payment for October, and am a month behind on the power bill and water bill. I also owe my car payment that was due at the very end of September. Unfortunately, I "make too much" for any kind of assistance with my bills. I don't qualify for assistance with my mortgage because I would have to let it go 60 days past due.

I have negative $404 right now. I get a payment from Blue Cross (for claims submitted for counseling sessions) on Wednesday, and I am hoping to pay all but the car payment, which is $450 and will be paid off in 8 months. I won't have anything left after that, though. I'm seeing over 55 clients a week trying to catch up, but life keeps kicking me when I'm down.

I am open to any kind of assistance, but I would really appreciate a Target gift card so that I can get groceries and cat food/litter for my cat. $40 would be great. I'm really hungry and haven't had anything to eat all weekend. There's nothing left in the pantry, and my refrigerated food had to be thrown out a couple of weeks ago due to not having power for almost 24 hours because of the recent hurricane that hit the Gulf coast.

Posted a couple of days ago, and received no responses at all. This post will read differently, the situation has changed in positive and negative ways.

TL;dr - Lost the car we were living in to repo. In the greater Denver metro, and unexpected outdoor sleeping arrangements were tolerable until last night when it hit low 40s. Starting job Monday. Need to get through tonight and get some sleep and hopefully something to eat.

We are not eligible for the standard assistance channels such as city hotel voucher.

Wife and have been doing Lyft and Spark and sleeping in car, car got repo'd a few nights ago at the truck stop we were using as a base outside of town. We got back to town with what little stuff we have left, but now we're in trouble as it gets colder quickly.

Quite honestly, I'd like a hotel / night of sleep, and a shower and a chance to at least handwash some clothes before I start a new job tomorrow. The sidewalk has not been conducive to cleanliness, as much as we've tried.

I am currently leaving a financially absuive situation. I dont like saying that cause I dont believe he was ever intentional he was just incompetent. But thats the best way to define "I haven't updated my ID in two moves and my glasses broke 3 years ago and my underwear have holes in them because I am consistently without money to care for myself".

I saved almost enough to rent a car and pay my bills at my new place long enough to find a job. I will have people there who can help me they just cant help right this moment. (I am renting a car rather than flying because I cannot bear to leave my fish behind. They're all thats got me through cause I know I have to make sure Im okay to make sure theyre okay.)

By my math, I was short ~170$ for the baseline bills, and then I remembered food and gas which I am calculating at approximately 300$.

I am doing doordash with my buddys car for a few hours a day today, tomorrow, and tuesday, and maybe a little before i get my rental but at most I can expect to make 150-180 with the time I have available. I cannot push the move back as with the starting holiday season rental prices are skyrocketing.

I have the money to spend, I just have to dig into my money for my first month of rent at my new place...

Tldr: I am 470 370 330 295 short on leaving a bad situation. I do not expect anyone to have that amount on hand. But 5 here or 10 there would do wonders even to my ability to go to my landlord and explain why im short. I would need it before the 5th of the November as that is when my bills are due. I only have paypal and zelle currently

My mother and I have been living in the car for about a month now. We've been doing doordash deliveries to make money but this past week the offers have been VERY slow. Sometimes as slow as one offer every few hours.

The only day we were somewhat successful was yesterday and today we've made 10 dollars that had to be spent mostly on gas. Now we don't have any money and the donations from the gofundme I have won't process until at the very earliest on monday. I have PayPal and chime. Cant use my cashapp because I still owe them money and they'll take anything I'm sent to cover the past due payments.

Tom is my beloved cat, and right now, he needs help. He is suffering from an eye infection, and I’m trying to raise the money needed to get him proper veterinary care, treatment, and medication. He got him probably from fighting another cat or something, as you can see his paw is also hurt. He's everything to me, he's basically the only reason that motivates me to come home.

The vet basically told me he needs antibiotics and quality food until he gets better which I can't afford since I'm currently unemployed and living with my father which also he's also giving me a lot of headache and doesn't want the cat in his house but i keep him in only my room.

Tom came into my care after my mentally ill mother abandoned him. I couldn’t just turn my back on him. He deserves love, kindness, and a chance to live a happy, healthy life, no matter what he has been through.

It breaks my heart to see him unwell and know that he needs medical attention. I want to do everything I can to help him recover, relieve his discomfort, and give him the safe and loving home he deserves.

Unfortunately, I cannot cover all the expenses on my own, which is why I’m reaching out for help.

Hey guys, I’m posting here because I’m in a bit of a tough spot financially and was hoping someone might be able to help me out. I’ve been having pain in one of my back teeth over the past few days, and it’s been making it hard to get throug my daily activities and affecting mood. I went to the dentistt to get it checked, and they told me I need a filling, which will cost $239 NZD ($136 USD).

Unfortunately, I’m struggling to afford it right now. I’m currently unemployed due to a medical condition that affects my ability to work, and the allowance I receive goes towards my medication, bills, and weekly rehab sessions. After covering those essentials, there’s not much left over.

To make things harder, I was charged $52 for an X-ray during my dental appointment, and I wasn’t told about the cost beforehand. Honestly, had I known it would cost extra, I wouldn’t have gone ahead with it, especially since I was already certain that this was the tooth causin my pain. The unexpected charge has left me even tighter financially, and I’m now struggling to cover the fillinh itself.

For now, I’ve been taking pain relief to get through the day, but I can’t keep relying on it long term, and I really need to get my tooth sorted. Also using mouthwash and Sensodyne toothpaste 😅.

Hey everyone, about 4 months ago me and my partner became homeless and started living in our car. I had work throughout but my partner hadn't had work until recently and i had a stint where i could not work due to a concussion. That with me being scammed through an app my work recommended, (which i can name) we had several checks that we couldn't cash immediately. We are trying to get on our feet but the waitlist where i live to even get out of homelessness takes at LEAST year. Either way we are on track to getting out of homelessness but we cant survive on the streets.

I had some unexpected vet expenses this month after my cat got out and into something nasty in a neighbors yard. She came home and her hair started falling out immediately, she also developed a few lesions that had me terrified. One $200 vet trip later and we're none the wiser about what she got into, but she's been bathed and seems fine aside from the hair loss and little scabbies.

After that expense I am short for my methadone treatment fees by the requested amount. I have been clean from street opiates for many years and I get bi-weekly take home doses. If I am unable to pay even one time, I will lose my take home status and get placed into "financial detox" as they call it.

I am pretty desperate to avoid that. I am also too ashamed to ask my family for help. They are not very understanding and will shit on me for putting my cat before myself in this scenario.

I can provide pictures of my Tsarina Katarina looking a bit better if that would help. The hair loss is still super noticeable, but other than that she is fine thank goodness.
