Trick or Treating
First year trick or treating with our kid and it’s a Saturday.. super exciting! What time is everyone trick or treating? We have a toddler so I’m unsure what an appropriate time would be

Hello, I’m looking to see if anyone has seen any of the Godzilla minus one blind boxes or any interesting toys in any store in the area?

Best place to go look at car seats and strollers? Who has the best selection and ones on display that you can actually play around with? Willing to travel outside of the area for a good selection of brands to look at.

In respect to the Reddit rule for communities if we don’t follow the ROAD rules ( I.e stop signs, traffic lights, etc.) WE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO RENT OR BUY A MOTORIZED BIKE (that is NOT motorcycles)

Hello, does anyone know of a local craftsman that makes walking sticks? I picked one up years ago at Arts on the Avenue, but I haven’t run across anyone since. Would love to pick one or two up for gifts for my aging friends. TIA!

UPDATE: i've reached out to Berks Book Bonanza. If that doesn't work out, I'll reach out to opportunity house and if that doesn't work out, you'll see another post. Thanks thanks for your help, everyone.
FREE! I was in touch with one bookstore, but it's not working out.
I would rather get rid of all of them at once. Does anyone know a used bookstore that would want them? They would have to pick them up because I don't have a car.
I doubt there's anything in there for strictly online sellers.
It's an eclectic mixture of everything from Joyce Carol Oates to Joe Lansdale. Lots of ghost story books from different parts of the country and ghost story books by that local guy who makes up "true" stories.
There are also a few decks of Oracle cards in the mix.
I once owned a bookstore and when I closed, I kept books I was interested in and have added on from there. They're just too many books and I plan to downsize in the coming years, so I need to get rid of them.
Frankly, if they're not gone in the next couple of weeks, I'm gonna start just throwing them away. I hate to do it, but I don't know what else to do with them.
Thanks for any leads.

Does anyone know any locations where they have the stands that you can go and buy sweets, flowers, or fruits? I’m looking for any just to support a few.

I run a sharpening service, primarily sharpening kitchen knives. I have recently started offering my handmade wooden cutting boards for sale as well.
I’m hoping to get some suggestions on any local businesses/stores that may be willing to display some of my boards for sale, in exchange for a portion of the sale, of course. Or perhaps stores that may be willing to buy boards from me at a wholesale price to then sell as their inventory.
Doesn’t have to be within Reading proper. Anywhere in the area would be great.
Thank you!

Good day everyone. I have a unique situation and am in need of a Master Plumber that can work and pull permits in the Reading area. The Plumber must have all their paperwork/certifications in order. If you know of anyone, please send me their information. Thank you.

If you were there, I hope you had a really fun time! I am posting here to see if anyone who went AND was able to grab a handful of the confetti that launched at the end of the show would maybe be willing to mail me a couple pieces of that confetti. My girlfriend, who I took to the show, really wanted some, but we were sitting near the back and the mob kinda forced us through the door before we were able to grab any. This show really healed a part of her inner child and I feel so bad that we weren't able to get some as a little memento.
If by chance anyone has some confetti of which they're willing to part with, I will of course compensate you for your generosity and cover postage. Lmk in the comments and we can dm.
If no one here is able to help with this or be comfortable doing this, no biggie at all, I completely understand and appreciate you for taking the time just to read this.
Thank you all so much!

Hi everyone! I foster for a local rescue and we are trying to find a forever home for this sweet girl! Feel free to ask any questions!
We have a new arrival to Luna Farms Rescue! Meet Miss Mabel! Mabel is a 10 week old schnauzer mix and is just the cutest little snuggle buddy. Mabel is ready to be in her forever home. She is the best behaved girl. She is good with dogs of all sizes, kids, and cats. She loves to play with toys that squeak, bask in the sun, and cuddle with her humans. She is UTD on all vaccines and is about 10-12 lbs. This sweet girl would make a great addition to anybody's home this fall! She is ready to go trick or treating with you and maybe even do a pumpkin photo shoot!
If you are interested in adopting Mabel, please fill out an application at https://www.lunafarmsrescue.org/animals#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1659290701227%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2FALHV-A-3584
Mabel can't wait to meet you!

Let me ask a question. Why do we ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO TURN OUR HEADLIGHTS ON WHEN WE DRIVE OUR CAR AT NIGHT AND/OR MORNING (when it’s still DARK)? I refuse to believe that you “forgot to put them on”. You wouldn’t be how many miles from your house then say my headlights.
If someone flashes their headlights at you TAKE THE FREAKING HINT!
Good luck trying to tell the cops your “wonderful” Excuse for why you don’t have your headlights on as “oops I forgot” as cops are either going to A. Write you a ticket or B. Give you a warning
Again, PLEASE DRIVE WITH YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON

Hey folks! Does anyone have a recommendation for a mechanic shop in Reading or the surrounding area where my brother-in-law could take his Subaru wrx for an inspection?
It keeps throwing some weird battery code, and its the only thing keeping it from passing inspection.
Any flexible mechanics nearby that could either figure out why the code is being thrown, or who will pass it anyway? They are in a tight financial spot, so any help is truly appreciated!

Bit of a niche question, but maybe there are some woodworkers in here.
I’m looking for hardwoods suitable for making cutting boards (maple, walnut, cherry, etc). I’m hoping to find a source locally to bring the cost down vs online suppliers.
Thanks in advance!
