Is it just me or does the boy on the left(my kitten) look GIGANTIC in comparison to his siblings, atleast to his other ginger brother. Maybe it’s just the angle but i swear he looks huge. The black girly is also mine and looking not that small either

Question/Advice Needed I can't find my kitten. I searched nearby. Unable to locate.

My 2 kittens were playing on the stairway.

One of my kittens came back after 2 hours.

But my other kitten I'm unable to find anywhere.

Its mother is also searching. But no luck.

I searched almost around the 200m radius of my house and all the places it could hide. But no luck.

It's like 3 month kitten.

Help. How do I find it?

Question/Advice Needed New kitten is so skinny and eats so little

Just got a 9 month old, she’s been on kitten kibble at the shelter. She’s quite skinny so I was excited to tackle her food needs, find what she likes, get her on wet food and get some weight on her. But she unfortunately doesn’t really eat much. Even of her old kibble. It looks so dry and gross and she drinks so much water on the side. So I’ve been trying to slowly mix in wet food but even just a little bit and she’s not touching it.
She loves churus, and she LOVES greenies, but it’s not like I can give her only those. I’ve also tried hiding a greenie in her food and she’ll have a little more that way but then just push it around until she finds the greenie so still nowhere near enough. I’ve also tried to give her wet food separately and she’s had more than usual but even then just a few bites. I’ve tried three different ones so far, one she liked more so I think I’ll just keep trying that?

Also she keeps trying to bury her food like it smells bad or something. But actually she does the same with the water she’s knocked it over twice now lol I should get her a heavier bowl.

I have a cat already that’s pretty picky but he’s got a good weight, he always eats enough. She’s still in her starter room BTW, they haven’t met yet. So yeah, she’s way different from my old cat I’ve never met one so bad at eating yet so skinny. I’m taking her to the vet to get her last ear mite treatment in a week so I’ll bring this up then, but is there anything else I can try in the meantime?

Question/Advice Needed kitten

so my friend’s friend’s cat has just given birth to 4 kittens and her parents want the kittens out before they turn two weeks old. i’ve never taken care of kittens before but i’m planning to take one of them. i’ve done lots of research and am getting whatever they’ll need to put in a playpen for the time being. i’ve seen lots of people talk abt single kitten syndrome so im wondering, is it a bad idea to get just the one kitten? of course i’d play with it lots and take care of it well since i’ll be home a lot now. but i know that’s not always enough for kittens

update: i realise how stupid i was not to first check how old kittens need to be before separating them from the mother. i got the news yesterday and kept researching today and found out kittens need to be at least 8 weeks minimum and need to be taught by their mother. my friend and i have also discussed it and we’ve realised the risks of separating the kittens that young. unfortunately, the owner of the mother cat seems set on sending them away so i’m really hoping no one will take be selfish and take the kittens. thanks for the responses!

Fiancee is a vet tech. Client brought in local stray to get spayed, was already pregnant at full term. She brought them home to take care of for the night and we picked our fav out of the 6. Meet chowder. He is now 11 weeks old, been raising him since day 1 of life. Was a ton of work but so worth it.

Question/Advice Needed Found a six week old kitten and her behavior is slowly getting worst

Hello me and my bf found a six week old kitten (maybe 7 now) and she is doing great health wise. She's also been ganing weight and losing worms!! Yay! But her behavior is slowly becoming frustrating particularly for my partner as he works early mornings amd typically wakes up around 5 or 6 am. She is in her 'biting stage' I guess and she keep biting him while he is sleeping, she has been particularly hyper as of late as well. She also bites ankles and toes a lot. We've tried 'floor jail' but shes figured out how to climb her way back up, is this a phase for her? How do we train it out of her? (I really want to keep her but my boyfriend is considering not at this point if we didn't I know she'd have a loving home as we have already had many offers to take her but I really love her and want her to stay with us </3)

Question/Advice Needed Is my kitten eating enough?

We just brought home a 3 month old kitten from the shelter 2 days ago. He is very friendly and playful. He doesn’t seem very interested in his kibble and he really only wants to eat when I’m petting him. Even then, he won’t eat his whole serving. We are giving him the recommended amount on the bag. He really likes to eat treats. He drinks a lot of water and uses his litter box well. Is it just because he’s getting used to a new place?

Lost my soul dog, Loki, on September 1st and couldn’t bear the silence so I thought I’d get a kitten as I have always wanted to befriend one. … came home with two kittens.

Meet the double trouble rats!

Tala: sweet as can be, curious, likes to look at you from high up places she should not be on like the dining table and the top of my headboard, looks like the night sky

Fenrir: bitey boy, has one brain cell (he just leaped and head butted my phone twenty minutes ago), will fall asleep in your arms

Question/Advice Needed New kitten help

I recently adopted a six-month old kitten and was looking for some general help since I’m very new to this.

Since yesterday (when I got him), he’s been super affectionate and LOVES to follow me around and be pet. While this is absolutely adorable, he literally will not do anything else. When he’s not being touched, he’s crying and meowing loudly and will not stop until he receives affection or pets. Because of this, he is not eating or drinking anything (wet or dry). Just screaming until he gets held or pet or any sort of physical affection.

I’ve tried to keep him in an acclimatization room to make sure the transition was smooth, but he was scratching, sniffing, and meowing at the door within a few hours after coming home so he’s been exploring the place ever since and hadn’t had any issues or expressed any negative signs.

I know that it’s still only been a day, but I’m getting worried that this may develop into a bad habit of him knowing he can just meow continuously and get what he wants (though I am making an effort to not do this). Since it’s likely affecting his eating and drinking, I want to make sure I’m taking steps now before anything happens. Are there any things that I should be doing now to create good habits and to avoid bad ones? Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Any help is greatly appreciated! I’d also like to just mention that I did extensive research prior to adoption, and just would like some other cat owner input aside from whatever conflicting articles are online.

Edit: Thank you so so much for all the help!! The original plan was to get two at the same time, however, the second cat was delayed so he’ll be arriving tonight instead. Hopefully things go uphill from here!

Question/Advice Needed Advice on introducing two young kittens to each other

Hi everyone! I’d love some advice on introducing two kittens to each other.

I brought home a kitten two weeks ago, and he is currently 14 weeks old. He is not aggressive in any way. He doesn’t bite, hiss, scratch, or show any other signs of aggression. I’m being very careful not to encourage him to play with my hands or feet.
However, the more I redirect him towards toys and treats during playtime instead of letting him play with my hands, the more frustrated he seems to become. He also loses interest in the toys more and more quickly each time. It’s becoming pretty clear that he’s missing having a feline friend to engage in all that typical kitten play, including chasing, wrestling, and roughhousing.

I’m currently looking into adopting another kitten. She is around the same age as my current kitten, and if they seem like a good match, I could bring her home in about a month. By then, my current kitten will have been living with me for around six weeks.

What would be the best way to introduce them to each other?

All the guides I’ve found focus on introducing cats when the resident cat is older and has lived with their family for much longer. I haven’t been able to find much information about introducing two kittens of roughly the same age, especially when the resident kitten hasn’t been living in his new home for very long himself.

I’d be incredibly grateful for any advice or personal experiences you’re willing to share! I just want to give them the best possible start and set them up to become the best of friends.
