They’re currently 1-7 and lost to Ball State. Their only win was against Mississippi Valley which is an FCS school.
They’ve lost by an average of 28 points and only average about 15K fans in a stadium that can host 21K.
Their president (J Luke Wood) is deeply unpopular in the region because he is prioritizing football over students (he is trying to turn a commuter school into a 4 year university with Football as his “baby”).
They have 4 more years of this before their contract with MAC ends.

As someone who has seen him play many times including in person dating back to his UCLA days, why do people keep talking about Moore like he’s some elite world beater NFL prospect? Even prior to the injury, he hadn’t look all that good since the Texas Tech playoff game last year. Do people forget Oregon lost to Oklahoma State and almost Boise while he was still healthy? He didn’t look all that great at the beginning of the USC game either.
I just don’t get Oregon fans saying they’re having a bad season because he’s out. I’ve never been impressed with him.

Week 8 Rankings: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB_v2/comments/1x9wgrv/a_wins_a_win_until_its_not_playoff_deserving/
Week 7 Rankings: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB_v2/comments/1x44hfr/a_wins_a_win_until_its_not_playoff_deserving/
A quick recap on what these rankings mean and how they are calculated. For a detailed explaination, please look at Week 7 rankings. This is NOT a list of "best teams". This is a ranking of teams by who is most deserving to be in the playoffs based on the regular season. The formula is pretty simple, but last year it agreed on 11 of the 12 playoff teams the CFP committee selected (whether that's good or bad). Each team gets a starting rank based on various SoS rankings. After that, each team gets 30 points added to the score based on how many WINS they have less than the team with the most wins (currently set at 7 by numerous teams). So if a team has 6 wins, they add 30, 5 wins they add 60, etc etc.
H2H results matter until they don't. This season is a prime example that (almost) anyone can beat anyone on any given week. If A beats B, then A will be ranked higher than B even if their score is worse. That is true UNTIL we get a Circle of Parity (CoP), like A beats B who beats C who beats A. Then at that point we can't use the H2H. I believe we can't pick and choose when H2H results applies to a team in the CoP.
There were 13 teams outside of the CoP going into this week. With BYU, Texas Tech, and James Madison losing, we are now down to only 4 teams! Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Houston, Arizona, Oregon St, and Liberty all got sucked into the CoP because they lost to one of BYU, Texas Tech, or JMU.
Here is the newest Rankings for Most Deserving Playoff Teams:
