I was just as shocked as you are.
Instructions:
All ISOs come from the official software.download.prss.microsoft.com server. This method also likely works for Windows 8.1 ISO downloads as well.
UPDATE: You can also download Office 2007, 2010, older Windows 10 builds and more using my modified bookmarklet here, many thanks to ppisarczyk on GitHub for the TechBench dump. + Thanks to u/PlaneSheepherder1206 for the GitHub tutorial here!

I got this netbook from a flea market for $5 and it runs great on 2GB of RAM, a 150GB HDD (don't know what type it is) and a Intel Atom N270. PS1 ported games run great on it, SimCity 4 is playable but sluggish, and opening basic software like 2011 LibreOffice has great speed, even with the slow HDD. Overall this is the best aesthetically pleasing experience I ever had on a laptop.

I couldn't install Windows 7 on my HP Laptop 15S-EQ2XXX that uses primarily UEFI only and no Legacy/CSM support. I have tried multiple methods of patching the Windows 7 ISO image with drivers that support my Laptop. And I have even tried UefiSeven where it also didnt help on my issue. The primary issue is that every time I try to boot into Windows 7, I just get stuck on the Glowing Windows 7 icon saying "Starting Windows". I used debug mode to figure out, I was getting stuck on "Loading disk.sys" or "Loading CLASSPNP.SYS" or related to something like that. Here are my specs:
Does anyone have a work-around about this?

This is an issue that seems to mainly affect AM4 CPUs. I have seen countless posts about this when trying to fix it myself, with no real solution. Thought I would make this post with a couple suggestions:
1) Use Ventoy
If you Ventoy on to your USB/DVD and then drag in your ISO, once you boot into it, select this option before booting the ISO:
F5 Tools--->Ventoy UEFI Utilities--->Fixup Windows BlinitializeLibrary Failure
This seems to fix it in about 99% of cases.
2) Do not use the BIOS/boot menu
Someone suggested this to me as a fix on Discord and said it worked for them, I haven't tested it though as the first option worked for me. All you need to do is edit your boot order in the BIOS so the USB is first, and then save and restart your PC. Then let it boot in the installer without opening the BIOS or boot menu.
Also, if you run in to issues with the installer hanging on 'Starting Windows', ensure CSM support is enabled (even if you are installing UEFI), so you can switch 'Other PCI Device ROM Priority' (or a similarly named setting) to Legacy Only.

i have a win 7 disc that i bought in 2019, and i wish to save it onto my computer as a .iso file because the disc is near the point where it won't be able to be read (cuz of damage and scratches) so i want to copy the disc as a .iso file
almost forgot to say, i already tried to do this a year ago but the only software i found snuck in a "actually pay a subscription" halfway threw, so i'm mainly hoping to find a free way to do this

What would be good (price/performance) Win7 laptop (does not have to be officially supported)? Preferably something with DDR3 (have few 8GB SODIMM modules sitting around), not looking at exact make/model but more of a what can be found without selling kidneys

Back in 2011/ 2012 this was my dream PC.
i5 2500k at 4.5ghz w/ Hyper 212 Evo
Corsair XMS3 2x4gb ddr3 1600mhz
Msi g45 z77 (I eventually got this same exact board later with a 3570k)
Sapphire HD 6950 1gb.
Case is NOS of the Antec 302 that I managed to get a year ago from Walmart.
Overall impressions: Performance is amazing period accurate games, Crysis can run at max setttings at full 1080p. I might swap out the 6950 for a r9 280x or a Gtx 770, maybe even a GTX 970.

Hi,
I was using Chrome 109 to send an email via outlook with a word attachment. I did so on Thursday with no problem. Today (Saturday) I got a message “[document] could not be attached. please try again later“. I tried multiple documents as an experiment and other files like png files and pdfs. same message.
then I tried to send an attachment on iOS Safari. It worked perfectly. Is anyone able to check to see if this is a problem for them on Chrome 109?

I have an old PC where KDE Neon runs great, but I actually need Windows applications. Since my hardware is extremely old (i3 2nd gen, GT 610M), compatibility layers like Wine, Bottles, or Proton don't work very well for my needs.
How can I install Windows 7 alongside my current Linux setup (doing it "the other way around", i.e., adding Windows after Linux is already installed)?
Also, are there any tutorials, guides, or shared experiences from people who have done this? Any advice would be appreciated!

I really loved Windows 7 and just wish that it could be remade into something awesome, there's potential for loads of improvements if anyone is willing to dedicate themselves to this. Not to mention the amount of privacy this would have compared to regular Windows 10. If this was made, it would honestly be fucking amazing.

I had:
Intel 08 I5-750 5LBLC MALAY 2.66 GH/8M/09B L945B502 1st gen
Reg Model: D03M Reg Type: D03M001
Power supply: 350 W Chicony Model CPB09-001B
8 GB Ram 64 bit
HDD Seagate Barracuda 1000GB SATA cord
ATI Radeon HD 5770
Graphics card died so I upgraded it to:
evga gtx 750 ti ftw
Also upgraded the power supply to compensate.
Now my HDD is dying so I need to replace the hard drive. I wanted to do SSD but I look at these prices and not sure what to do. I use this computer to do retro gaming, windows 7 era games.
I'm okay even staying at 1TB after seeing these prices but what should I do in this situation not sure if should buy new or used or what model. Never purchased a hard drive before
