Trick & Treat Event: This is our third annual Halloween event, and the emphasis this year is on the trick. Your treat will be either 5 grams of 2025 Silver Needle that has already begun to transform or 2 minis from our massive lineup of assorted pressed teas. The first 25 orders will get the silver needle, and the rest will get the minis.Â
Your âTrickâ will be something even more special. We will be sending out the bizzarest accessories for your home tea-set up. The tackiest tea towels, for your favorite vacation destinations in Cornwall or Tasmania, knitted coasters that scream, unusual tea pets, stickers,  useless books, and more.Â
Every order between October 24th and 31st will receive both a âtreatâ and a âtrick.â It does not matter if you order a single mini or five tongs.Â
New Teas: We have been busy also to prepare you some seasonally appropriate tea for this event.Â
You will find below two excellent, brand-new Wuyishan Oolongs, Pure Orchid & Buddhaâs Hand. These teas have been processed and roasted by an experienced producer, Liu Qing, whom we had the honor of meeting and watching in person. By popular demand, we have also added a Golden Fuzz Dianhong from the Yang Family we visited back in April. You will find two expanded red tea boxes now available to accompany this newest addition to the red tea line-up. These boxes are:

The leaf for this tea was harvested in 2021 in the Kokang region (Shan State, Myanmar) from trees over 100 years old. In 2025, it was fermented at the Bafang factory in Menghai.
The aroma is sharp, bright and deep. The profile shows smoky camphor, hazelnut and prune.
The effect of meeting this tea can be compared to a whiff of smelling salts, only in tea terms. Donât take this literally, Iâm just pointing in the direction.
The taste matches the aroma: dense and punchy. Its bright, bold character can easily win you over.
Bitterness, fishiness or sourness are completely absent; instead, there is plenty of oily, earthy depth with camphor and nuts. You wonât find delicate little flowers and fruit here, but a dense, masculine elixir is guaranteed.
The aftertaste brings a light menthol chill that rounds out the picture in a stylish, harmonious way.
State: alertness, focus, energy. I didnât notice any excess caffeine in it.
By the way, a household tip: if during or after any tea session you feel a caffeine rush (the jitters, an overdose) or just heightened anxiety, simply take some magnesium, ideally in a highly bioavailable form (magnesium chelate, for example). If thereâs no magnesium at hand, drink plenty of water, 300â500 ml. Best of all, magnesium plus water. In 15â20 minutes youâll be fine.
To true shou fans, I sincerely recommend trying this tea. At the very least, give it a tryâŠ

â one more short announcement â
Right in the middle of our previous USDA Organic oolong sale, we discovered a bug on our website that made airmail shipping unavailable for a number of European countries.
While fixing it, we found a way to bring back the budget ePacket airmail option to many countries in Europe and Asia.
Thatâs why we decided to rerun the oolong sale during the days of the new shou discount.

Hey guys.
Our current Nagomi BB date is on December this year. It's still within date, but I don't want these bags sitting here when they could be getting used.
So I'm clearing the batch.

Nagomi is our organic Okumidori matcha from Uji, and this is a good one for anyone who drinks matcha regularly and isn't planning to keep it in the cupboard for months.
Normally $49.99. Current batch is $29.99. $0.74 per gram.

Dear tea enthusiasts,
A fresh batch of USDA Organic certified oolongs has arrived at our warehouse. They come from two of Thailandâs oldest tea factories, our partners for more than 10 years.
Letâs run through the tasting notes.
If you are too lazy to read all this hereâs the short version: the oolongs turned out great, so go ahead, fill your cart and head to checkout.
More roast than last yearâs batch, which brings it closer to the âclassicâ level.
Whatâs inside: the signature taste of baked cream bun, fruit jam, coffee beans and chocolate. The aftertaste brings a lovely note of juicy fresh-cut grass that contrasts nicely with the coffee-and-chocolate body.
In a good Dong Ding, the roast fades beautifully over time, leaving cinnamon and other spices behind. In short, a good Dong Ding can and should be stored and aged. We usually donât bother: we sell the current batch and buy a fresh one. So that part is up to you.
2026 Gui Fei Premium, USDA Organic
The most delicate floral-honey perfume, pedigreed and elegant. Impressive steeping resistance. A tea for true oolong aesthetes.
2026 Hong Shui Premium, USDA Organic
Inside youâll find cherry, cinnamon, passion fruit and a whole pack of spices still waiting to be sorted. Our bestseller since the day the shop opened.
2026 Ruan Zhi Premium, USDA Organic
Fruit caramel, sweet-and-sour berries (red currant up front), a warm buttery-pastry background. An endless tea with a long, oily finish. This cultivar is rare in Taiwan: itâs capricious to grow. Our batch shows its varietal character at its best.
2026 Cui Yu Premium, USDA Organic
Lilac and a mix of tropical fruits, a winey finish with a light astringency from the same lilac. A bit like Tie Guan Yin, only fruitier and longer.
2026 Gaba Tea Exclusive, USDA Organic
Steady and beautiful: plum jam, cinnamon, apple pie, raisins, a touch of rye bread. An absolute bestseller.
Note: all profiles are written for low-mineral water (under 10 ppm). Water above 20 ppm may bring out different notes and nuances.
To make reading the descriptions on our website more fun and the temptation harder to resist: 15% off for 5 days, until October 14.

We have a bit too much stock of our Nagomi organic matcha at the moment, so I thought I'd offer some here at a decent discount rather than have it sitting around.
Nagomi Organic Matcha, 40g
Regular price: $49.99 AUD
Reddit price: $34.99 AUD, 30% off
It's a first-harvest organic matcha from Uji, Japan. It's bright and lively, and works well as an everyday matcha either straight or as a latte.
Nothing wrong with the matcha, we simply have more Nagomi than we're currently moving.
Happy to answer any questions about it.
Australia only for this one.

Tetsubi? Tetsubin? Whatever.
I already purchased one elsewhere for $300 literally a day before these went on sale, so I thought I might as well share to help anyone interested in a path taken away from me.
Note that these are unglazed and are meant to boil water, not make tea in.
