A common problem encountered by new users of Krita. The artwork exported from Krita sometimes may look dark or washed out. Here is a simple way to mitigate this problem.

I was drawing a background of a jungle for a short project I wanted to do for myself, but it was getting frustrating drawing that scene. To get some peace of mind I needed a break from it and focus on something else that why I did this.

This is a repost because I needed to put the other artist in the title, not only in the body of text.
But the originally I was just trying to emulate someones style and was asking for feedback on what I did right and what could I improve.

This is some person I made for 12 minutes in a zoomed in canvas...
I've done several walk cycles for months which is tiring, I did the basics for weeks and right now, this has already become a chore, so I don't have anything else to come up with whenever it comes to art because I'm about to lose, self-destruct my motivation or interests on my critical creative skills for me to focus on my schoolwork due to the increase of future AI generated content spreading across the internet which affects me.......
Therefore, Im scared that I’ll get in trouble filled with blunt comments and mods if i keep on posting the same artwork I’ve done on this subreddit…
Sigh
I really, really can't do this straight anymore all because of school and stuff... idk what to say cuz I’m losing PPL over this… Maybe I should stop….

I used the penpoc brush from the Ink bundle and then used an overlay layer with gradient tool and airbrush to color my sketch

Initially these were supposed to be just sketches, but I can't seem to leave a simple character without a background or plot. Mostly for coloring i only used 2 brushes
I like the result, despite the fact that I spent half a month on it just because I didn't have free time
Sorry for any mistakes, english isn't my native language (i from Russia)
And i want to know, just in case. Can I leave links to my social media?

For this painting practice I wanted to only work on color and lighting instead of making sure that the geometry and layout made sense.
So I am looking for feedback on the color and shading. Did I use too much blur? Does it look worse with the divide layer added? Also, how do I make the background less flat looking? And would this look better if I had used grayscale shading?
(The picture on the left is the final painting, while the one on the right was the painting before blurring and adding the divide layer.)

After a year and a half of somewhat inconsistent practice, I'm happy with the result... And maybe it's about time to learn how to make backgrounds...

Initially, while I was still drawing this, I set my expectations too high. I wanted every aspect of the drawing to be flawless. It got to a point where I spammed Ctrl+Z nonstop and still wasn't satisfied– then I gave up on it.
It wasn't until I stumbled upon the unfinished drawing months later that I thought to myself, "Why did I even hate this to begin with 😳? It's beautiful!!!"
Luckily, I still had the reference photo saved on my phone, so I took my time to complete the drawing. To this day, it's still one of my favourite pieces ever! Perfectionism really does kill art!!!
Oh yea, 1st pic is the "after" and the 2nd pic is the "before".

This took abt 1 hour, last time i posted here i was told i should worry about value grouping and to study from life rather than other artists so here we are. I did a few manga drawings in 3 values to get kindof a feel for value grouping tho idk if im doing it right, any help is appreceated. Btw i know the hands are messed up idk how to draw that, but overall im much happier with this drawing than the last one

A project I did over the weekend. Made in Krita, and the drawing on a Huion tablet. Default brush set four layers 8 hours overall.

My daughter recently started using Krita and she's having an issue with a portion of her drawing being cropped out. Obviously this isn't voluntary
I've tried finding an issue myself but it doesn't seem like I'm using the right terminology
From my understanding all she did was upload her hand drawn picture and used a single layer. Well two total one being the semi transparent trace layer
