ID Request Flame Skimmer?
That’s what Google says this guy is. The flame skimmers are very orange I think it looks more like a Scarlett than a Flame Skimmer, based off of my absolute zero knowledge of dragonflies 😂 this is in Long Beach, CA.

Bug Appreciation! Jewel Bug
Found remains of a Jewel Bug post rains, the first I have seen in real life. Mesmerized by the vibrant metallic colors.
Do jewel bugs have these colors since they are born or transform as they grow?

I have seen their paws in person. I know they exist. I need pictures to prove it to my boyfriend.

ID Request Is this an elm seed bug?
Hi, located in Alberta Canada, I’m hoping someone can help me with this bug. Google photo tells me that it is an elm seed bug. I live in an apartment where some units (several floors below) recently had German cockroaches.
I also got a new cat who the rescue agency said came from a hoarders house, and I know cats can carry bed bugs.
I did a full bedbug check and found no signs.
I also checked all around the room to see if there was any evidence of other bugs, especially cockroaches, but again so signs.
There was only one bug, it was moving along a blanket that had been on my bed, and I had taken clothes off the blanket before getting into bed - the clothes had been worn for gardening earlier in the day.
All signs point to elm seed bug but with the other two variables I’m hoping someone other than Google can share their input.
Thanks in advance!

I see these guys running around at work sometimes and they are bloody huge! They can get up to 4cm long.
Never seen this before though, apparently it's a mating ritual.
