I LOVE Cabot creamery’s whole milk PLAIN Greek yoghurt. I love the texture and the tanginess. I think it’s popular at the groceries in my area bc it’s always out - does anyone have recs for products that are close in texture, taste, and nutrition?

Title. I have several bags of various fruits (strawberries berries mango peach cherry) that id like to use without involving a food processor. What can I make?

I just want to share that everytime I need something and want more or less clean ingredients, my fav products are from Good and Gather … like the price and the quality 😭❤️‍🔥

First I would question their price … like why the Greek yogurt nonfat is less then 4$ when the others are more then 6$ even more … or their eggs, even the organic one is less then 4$ 🥵❤️

But after learning about this company I don’t even think, just buy all their products… because it’s specifically Targets own products, they don’t invest a lot of money into tv commercials or pay for the third party to resell … like Aldi’s products, love Aldi too😍

Of course some things might be better at Whole foods or Fresh Farms, but I still prefer not overpaying for label ‘organic’.

I hope that Target will keep it the same pricing and quality for a long long long time!!! Do you have an experience with good & father? Please share your opinion, I would appreciate any additional information ✨

In Puerto Rico we drink this hot chocolate, you can either buy it in bars or grounded. It’s up to you and what you prefer. The milk we use is evaporated milk and make sure to use half a can and the other half with water, (Or full can and then a full can of water depending on how many people you want to serve.) Now this is where things get interesting. What we do is cut some mild cheddar cheese and put it at the bottom of the mug and then we pour the hot chocolate. Then we eat it with bread and we dip in the hot chocolate(Any bread will do but we use pan de bollo or pan sobao) and we eat the melty cheese with a spoon.

It’s salty and sweet! It’s absolutely delicious!

I like cream and a little sugar in my coffee. This is the best thing I've found for convenience and balance. Plus, if you don't fully stir it in, you get a nice frothy layer on top!

I came across the idea of using regular potato chips with eggs to make a quick Spanish tortilla, instead of peeling and cooking potatoes first.

Sounds like a pretty easy shortcut, but wouldn't the chips make it too salty? Has anyone here tried it? How did it turn out?

Simply stop the microwave 20-25 seconds sooner than you normally would. Don't let all the kernels pop.

The first half the bag of kernels gets all the greasy salty buttery flavoring, while the second half gets next to nothing. Just roll the bag around for 5 seconds after you take it out to distribute any oil still left on the bag to the already popped kernels. Shake it two more times with the bag right side up to sink the unpopped kernels to the bottom of the bag. And pour off your extra greasy/salty/buttery popped kernels into a bowl and throw the rest away.

You may only get half as much, but its the best half :-) Experiment with the pop time to find your perfect greasy salty level of popcorn that contains even less calories than if you popped the whole bag normally! Sweet, eh? ;-)

I don't like to just eat them, and i make dinner for people that don't do heat, at all. I feel like im going to let them go to waste.

Its not like a whole bag so its not like i can make a jar of sauce.

What do i do with 4 peppers when i don't like the taste of pepper flesh but do like to use them to heat some thing?

Edit: We have a winner. It was a toss up, and i almost went with popcornfart's suggestion, but i ended up doing a brine ferment with serrano, jalapeno, shallots and these scrotum looking red reapers. Ill probably finish fermenting them, add vinegar and lemon/lime juice before i then go with popcornfart's suggestion.

I'm a Southerner so I know biscuits. I got lazy one day and subbed whipping cream for the milk and butter. Didn't think it would be as good but holy cow!

It tastes exactly the same. So here's how to make Stupid Easy Biscuits with two ingredients. Four if you're feeling fancy.

Dump some self rising flour in a bowl.

Make a hole in the center of your mixture. Add whipping cream, stir till mixture is following your spoon.

Turn out, knead with flour, cut them out and bake at 400.

Tada! Stupid Easy Biscuits

PS, I always add half a teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of cream of tarter for flavor. But you can skip that part if you're doing a speed run.

I randomly came across this Golden Milk thing again (turmeric, milk, optional pepper, optional honey) and finally looked into how to make it.

But then I realized that I have been putting butter and turmeric (curry spice mix) in my rice for quite a while, as well as sometimes honey mustard. You might not think it at first but the honey mustard is really tasty in rice and also happens to contain turmeric.

Seems like a great healthy way to eat cheap and combine possible medicinal value all in one go. If anyone tries it and has good or bad experiences I'd love to hear your experience.

Had some leftover breadcrumbs and egg/milk from crumbing chicken tenderloins so I breadcrumbed an omelette!

Fried the breadcrumbs first then added the egg/milk+ spinach etc..sooooo good!

I just updated my withered, dried up, old GV spices.

I cooked dinner tonight, and I am still, hours later, ahhh-mazed!

Now, I know fresh is the best, but this was really incredible! I'm never going back to that cheap crap again

I recently bought a stock of instant noodles for only $0.20 USD each (converted from my local currency), which is way, way cheaper than my usual daily meal that costs around $1.00 USD.

Since I only eat once a day, I manage to save quite a bit, and now I have about $0.30 USD extra per meal that I can spare to sort of upgrade these noodles and make them a bit more substantial.

I bought a packet of spicy chips and decided to try something simple with them. I chopped some onion, green chili, and fresh coriander, mixed everything with the chips, and squeezed some fresh lemon juice on top. The result was surprisingly delicious. The spicy chips, crunchy onion, fresh coriander, and tangy lemon juice made a really tasty combination. It was such a simple snack, but the flavor was amazing.
Have you ever tried adding fresh ingredients to packaged chips? What do you usually add to make them taste even better?

Instead of waiting until I add the liquid, I stir a little Better Than Bouillon into the onions, garlic and spices near the end of the sauté.

Let it cook for 30–60 seconds, then deglaze and continue with the soup, stew or curry.

It gives the base a deeper savoury flavour before the liquid even goes in.

Just keep the heat reasonable so the paste doesn’t scorch.

And don't drain. It gets a wonderful nutty flavor and is way more filling. I assume the protein content increases but I have no way to prove.

(I used a half cup of hummus in two cups water for two cups pasta.

There's a video of a silent Japanese guy making sauteed mushrooms by starting them with a few tablespoons of water. Once the water was evaporated off he added a drizzle of oil and browned them. Then he added a bit of soy sauce, butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt.

I followed the video exactly except I didn't do the garlic or butter since they're going in fajitas.

So as prices soar for everything I have been trying to find quick, easy, cheap meals to make. I grew up in the late 70’s early 80’s with things like “hamburger pie”.
One such meal that I always enjoyed is a bit of an odd one but I loved it and I am making it for dinner tonight. Although a slightly healthier version than back then.

Hamburg, rice and peas mixed with a can of tomato soup. It was a comfort meal of sorts for me and it hit me the other day that it has been a few decades since I have had it. I use cauliflower rice now but it’s the same premise.

You can use any vegetable you prefer as I know many don’t like peas.

So what was a childhood “cheap” meal that you still make today?
