As a mom and aviation enthusiast, Founder’s Plaza at the DFW airport is one of my favorite places to spend time with my family.

Unfortunately, with no restroom facilities, our trips sometimes get cut short. In addition, many families that I’ve spoken to have agreed that a playground would be an amazing addition to the park.

This project is in the beginning stages and is VERY grassroots (I.e. it’s a one-woman show). As of right now, I’m trying to gather signatures of support to add restrooms and a play structure to the park. Next week I’m attending the Airport Board meeting to present my petition and propose the idea.

Hi all, I'm looking for some good late-night study spots around DFW. I usually study pretty late, so I'm trying to find somewhere I can sit down with my laptop and study for a few hours. I live in Garland, but I am willing to drive further (1hr+) if there are any available places.

I'm looking for a place that open late, even better if it opens 24 hours, have available wifi and power outlets. I've been considering IHOP or Denny's, but I'm not sure which location has accessible outlets, and they don't mind students staying there to study for a few hours (I will order something, of course).

Has anyone here had success recovering a lost passport in the DFW area?

My name is Rodolfo Vieira de Oliveira, and I misplaced my Brazilian passport between September 18 and September 25, possibly around DFW Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth, or Tyler, TX. It contains my valid U.S. work visa, so I'm trying every possible option.

I'm mainly looking for advice on local lost-and-found resources, Facebook groups, airport contacts, or other places I should check.

The TX-03 race has included repeated disagreements over Islam, Sharia and constitutional protections.

After Keith Self linked unrest in France to mass migration and raised concerns about the Muslim population, Evan Hunt challenged those claims.

Hunt was also asked about his own promise to disband Self's Sharia-Free America Caucus, his First Amendment objections and legislation he would pursue if elected.

His responses clarify some of his earlier statements, including an acknowledgment that he cannot unilaterally dissolve the caucus.

Self's responses to separate follow-up questions remain outstanding.

His Democratic challenger, Evan Hunt, pushed back, arguing that the seat belongs to voters.

Meanwhile, repeated calls for a debate haven't produced one.

The frustrating part is that their recent interviews show how much there is to discuss: the Constitution, religious freedom, congressional accomplishments and what matters most to TX-03 residents.

Neither candidate should get a free pass on those questions.

Lately I've been working on a driving game based on real world locations and now I've managed to get Dallas rendered into a drivable open world! This is built in three.js using free OSM and elevation data.

The buildings are under-stylized for now since the main focus has been making the roads themselves accurate for overpasses, bridges, tunnels, etc.

Here's a demo of me driving through downtown, the Katy Trail, White Rock Lake, and Love Field. Plus fast travel and bird-mode for different gameplay options! I captured this on my RTX 2050 at 144 FPS but it can also run at 60 FPS on mobile when I tested with my iPhone 15 pro max.

Open to any feedback! Still in the early stages but I'm planning to get the entire city covered and even extend out to Fort Worth.
