Hi everyone,
I just accepted my offer to transfer to city tech, but I was taking some of the pre-req courses for my desired program at a CUNY community college this semester.
Will my actual grades from these classes transfer over to city tech and count towards the pre-req grades for the health programs?

Hello! I’m a senior dental hygiene student currently looking for patients for my clinical requirements at City Tech.
If you’re overdue for a dental cleaning, don’t have insurance, or just want an affordable way to get your teeth checked and cleaned, this may be a good option.
All treatment is performed by dental hygiene students and is supervised/evaluated throughout the appointment by licensed dentists and registered dental hygienists.
Services include:
Cost: 100% free for City Tech students.
If not a student, the school charges $20 for supplies.
No insurance is required.
You’ll also receive a small goodie bag with oral-care samples such as floss, mouthwash, and a toothbrush.
Please keep in mind: Because this is a teaching clinic, appointments do take more time than at a regular dental office. Each visit is approximately 3 hours, and most patients need more than one appointment to complete treatment.
Generally:
Location:
City Tech Dental Hygiene Clinic
285 Jay St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 – 7th Floor
My available clinic times:
Patients under 18 must be accompanied/supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
If you’re interested, please fill out the Google form below
https://forms.gle/M9gr8s6Pv1NerJ8P7
If you know a friend or family member who might need a cleaning, feel free to send them this post as well. Thank you!

Hi everyone! If I take the ATI TEAS exam and score around 60%, 65%, or 70%, but want to retake it to get a higher score, can I retake the exam again in the same year, or does the system require me to wait until the following year? How many times can I take the TEAS exam in one year? Does the retake policy depend on the nursing school, or does ATI have its own limits? Thank you!

Hi do you think if during the nursing application you choose math 1190 instead of choosing in progress for 1275 will they used 1190(A-)or 1275(possible A)? or may be the highest one. Please help because it really bringing my gpa down if they don’t consider the 1275 because I did choose 1190 during the application.

Guys, I heard that last fall’s cutoff GPA was 3.7. Is there any chance of getting into the nursing program for Spring with a 3.8 GPA and a TEAS score of 70? If I don’t get in this time, I’m screwed. 😭

Hi yall, so I want to apply for the DH program but fall semester isn’t going as I planned so now I’m worried.
My grades for now-
Math1190: A
Com1330: A
Sociology: A-
English- A-
A&P 1: A-
Psychology: B
Pending:
A&P 2: (i’m sure i’m getting a B or B-)
Chem1000: A- or B
So am I screwed or should I still apply? 🫠

I took Intro to Sociology at Baruch in 2020 back when they allowed you to turn your letter grade into a CR because of COVID.
City Tech's Degreeworks transfer evaluator is saying there is no equivalent course because my "grade is too low".
I know sociology is required as a pre-req for the dental hygiene program. Does anyone know what grade they'll count this CR as, if at all? Would I be able to retake the course and which grade would be considered for pre-req GPA if so?
A little worried because dental hygiene program says any "CR" grade counts as a D but I'm not sure if this also applies for COVID grades.

I’m a transfer student who went from Queensborough Community College to NYC College of Technology (City Tech), where I’m studying Computer Engineering Technology. I’m approaching graduation, and honestly, I’m not sure what my next step should be.
I’ve already started applying for internships, but I haven’t been accepted into one yet. I’ve also worked on my resume and cover letter, but I don’t have any professional work experience, and I’m worried about how that’s going to affect my chances of getting hired after graduation.
I’m interested in technology, computers, and AI, but I’m still figuring out what career path makes the most sense for my degree. I don’t know whether I should focus on entry-level jobs, keep applying for internships, work on personal projects, get certifications, or consider another route.
Part of what makes this stressful is that I’m getting close to graduating, and I feel like I should have a clearer plan by now. I want to start building my career, but I don’t want to waste time going in the wrong direction.
For those of you who graduated with a Computer Engineering Technology degree or a similar major, especially those who started without internship or job experience:
1. What did you do immediately after graduation?
2. How did you get your first job without professional experience?
3. What entry-level positions should I be looking for with my degree?
4. Is it still worth applying for internships after graduation, or should I focus on full-time jobs?
5. What skills, projects, or certifications would actually help me stand out?
6. If you could start over, what would you do differently during your final semester?
I’d appreciate honest advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation. I know everyone has a different path, but I’d like to hear what actually worked for you.

Question for city tech nursing students for the class registration do you really need to wait until you get a response from the nursing program before registering for classes? Iv applied but with spring registration opening in November and from what iv seen the nursing results come out like a month and a half later just seems kind of risky if you dont get a the nursing program and you continue your classes but by then theres limited seats

I heard if there's a class you need, but it requires a pre-req that you haven't done yet, and that pre-req is a class you are eligible to take, you can ask permission from the department head of that course to take it while taking the pre-req, treating it as a co-req.
Has anyone done this? How do I go about it? Second semester registry is soon.

Anyone know why they are scanning ID now for library entrance ?
One by one, line is long :/

Im sick of smelling these funky odors in class and in the library. I understand not everyone has the time to shop or put their deodrant/perfume/cologne before they leave. But it gets to a point where the whole room smells like armpits. The dollar store and CVS sells cheap and small deodorants you can put in your backpack

Hi everyone! Can anyone recommend some really good BIO 1201 professor at City Tech? I'm looking for someone who explains lectures clearly, provides helpful study guides, and gives exams that closely follow those study guides.
I'd especially appreciate recommendations based on recent experiences. Thank you for any feedbacks.

Hi everyone,
I submitted my transfer application to CT from BMCC on Sep 17th and still have not heard back. Any idea when I can expect a response?
