The Buy/Sell/Trade thread April 2nd 2021
Buy/Sell/Trade/Beg for licenses and hardware here. If you do so elsewhere, your post will be removed.
This post will be replace when it grows too old and locks. I recommend sorting by old, if not new. Please edit your comment to reflect a completed sale.
Did you know?
Ableton itself has an article on buying a used copy of Live. It's important to note that Ableton has the power to confirm that a secondhand license is legitimate.
If you bought (or buy) a second hand MIDI controller that was originally bundled with Live Lite but the serial number that came with it is missing or already used up, you can apply to Ableton for a new Live Lite serial. It's not 100% successful but why not give it a try?
You can also easily obtain a Live Lite license by either buying Koala App or Ableton Note.
Yes, this post is from 2021, but Reddit now allows posts to accept comments forever. If that ever changes, message the mods and we'll make a new one.

I recently found out that my workflow improved using Logic Pro X instead of Ableton Live and so I would somehow sell my Live license to buy Logic.
Are you interested in an Ableton Live 10 Suite license with a free upgrade to the 11 suite (non edu)? If so, do you know exactly what can I do to sell it?
I know you can transfer your license through the official Ableton website via email but if I wanted to make some money I don’t know how to proceed. Thank you!

Hey everyone, I’ve been building a synth plugin called 5th Dimension and finally got it packaged up enough to share.
It’s a CUNO plugin for macOS and Windows, with AU/VST3 on Mac and VST3 on Windows. The idea is a fast, playable synth for dark basses, glassy keys, moving pads, leads, and weird textured sounds that sit well in a track without needing a ton of setup.
It has:
88 factory presets
macOS installer with AU/VST3/standalone
Windows installer with VST3/standalone
macro controls for shaping sounds quickly
snapshots/evolve for variations
a visual “Dimension Field” thing that reacts while you shape the sound
I’m selling it for $9 mostly to get it into people’s hands and keep working on it based on real feedback. I’d honestly love to hear what producers, beatmakers, composers, and sound designers think once they try it.
Link: https://cuno-llc.com/5thdimension/
If you grab it and make anything with it, send it my way. I’d love to hear it.

Based on communication with an Ableton rep (via their Reverb storefront), I'm looking to sell an Ableton 12 Live license (Standard) I bought in late February... as I'm looking to buy a Push 2 bundled with Suite. Looking to sell for $399, which is $40 less than buying it direct from Ableton.
Their message: "You can always sell your license 2nd hand to someone else. To find out more about selling a license, please visit the link below:https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209771405-Buying-a-used-copy-of-Live".

I bought Ableton Live Suite 12 for 750 USD last week because I thought I'd be able to incorporate it in my MPC workflow, but it just didn't work for me. I tried to get a refund but they wouldn't allow it, so now I'm many dollars down with a software I won't use, and I'm sad.
Now I'd like to sell that license at a discount to get rid of it fast. I will transfer the ownership of the license to you for 700 USD / 950 CAD.

I have an Ableton Live 12 Suite license for sale. I haven't had much of an interest in recording or anything and haven't really touched the program in over a year. PM if interested.
For the mods: I deleted my Reddit account a while ago and saw that this was basically the best spot to sell a license, so I made a new account for this. I know that seems fishy, but I will do whatever is asked to prove I am not trying to scam anyone, just want to recoup some of the purchase price to go towards an amp.

SessionDock is now available on Windows, clean DAW session browser with waveform previews
A quick update for anyone who’s been following this project, SessionDock is now officially available on Windows.
If you haven’t seen it before: SessionDock is a visual project browser for DAWs. It organizes large session libraries (Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Pro Tools, etc.) and shows:
• CarPlay Support • Waveform audio previews
• Session artwork
• Notes & tags
• Key/tempo (if present)
• Last modified timestamps
• Folder metadata
• Automatic repair if folders or drives get renamed/moved
• Sync support via iCloud Drive (macOS) or Dropbox
The Windows version has full feature parity with macOS, including fast scanning and preview generation.

[FS] Ableton Live 12 Suite (EDU license) Hey, I’m selling my Ableton Live 12 Suite educational license for $250 (taking offers)
It’s legit and will be transferred through Ableton’s official license transfer system (not just a serial).
This is an EDU license, so you must be a student or teacher and able to verify with Ableton. If you can’t verify, Ableton won’t activate it.
Payment: PayPal
I’ll send proof of the license in my Ableton account (with personal info blurred), and I’ll start the transfer as soon as payment clears.
How it works: 1. You pay 2. I initiate the transfer 3. You accept + upload your EDU verification 4. License shows up in your Ableton account
DM me if you’re interested or have questions. Please don’t message if you don’t qualify for EDU.
Thanks!

Sorry to bother anyone here, but I was wondering here has a Ableton Live 8 Suite license for sale?
Some background info, my parents are divorced and have been for several years at this point. Earlier this week I found my dad's physical boxed copy of Live 8 Suite that he left behind while cleaning out some of the closets in my house.
It has all four installation CDs (including the Live 8 Suite Trial CD), the manual, stickers ... pretty much everything that came with boxed copies, with the only exception being the license. The box has a big yellow sticker with "BOX WITHOUT SERIAL" on it, and I don't know if my dad still has the license (nor do I really want to contact him anyways—personal stuff).
I know that it's decently old software and that I could just purchase a newer version of Live, but I mean ... the box has everything in it—minus the license—and I thought I'd ask and see if anyone has a serial for it.
My DMs are open, thanks in advance! I hope I'm not causing too much trouble.
Edit: No longer looking, bought a copy from a nice fella. Thanks to those who looked!

I am hoping this question is okay here, if not please delete. I have a Push 2 that is near brand new condition and barely used...it just didnt fit my workfow. It is in the original box with all the accessories. I say near brand new becuase of course the famous volume knob fell off and went into sock heaven. I was not able to get a like for like knob from Ableton so i used a standard pot knob. It works and looks just fine but yeah it has that one thing. My questions are what would you think is a fair price and if there is anyone intersted. Im not looking to break anyone's bank here so I would entertain reasoable offers. I looked around on reverb and ebay but the condition of most of them look pretty bad. The decent ones were around the $400 range so i was thinking $350...does that sound reasonable? I live in the Seattle area. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I've been building a synth plugin called Laura and it's finally at the point where I want to put it in front of people.
It's a polysynth for macOS and Windows, with AU, VST3 and standalone on Mac, and VST3 and standalone on Windows. I'm a one person studio (Lost Synapse), and I started writing it because I'd gone through a big pile of synths and none of them combined the building blocks the way I would by hand. The fractal oscillator I wanted didn't exist in any of them, so I made my own. Laura is the result. The goal is four engines under one signal path and a mod matrix that gets out of the way, so you can chase a sound instead of learning another ecosystem.
What's in it:
Four engines in one path: wavetable with a full built in editor, fractal oscillators (Mandelbrot, Julia, Burning Ship, Tricorn and more), FM, and classic analog shapes
271 factory presets, all loudness matched to -18 LUFS
A preset browser with search, tags, and character chips so you can find a vibe fast
A character compressor with Bloom, Drift, Pump, Spectral and Harmonics sections
A 14 module FX rack, including convolution reverb with your own IRs
A sequencer with three modes: Geometric (per step lanes, conditional triggers), Galaxy (bouncing ball physics), and Constellation (orbital attractors with wormhole portals)
Mod matrix with envelopes, LFOs, macros, and per slot MSEG curves
Signed and notarized installers on both platforms, lifetime license, no subscription, no telemetry, offline activation
It's $69 right now as a launch price (normally $149), one time, and macOS plus Windows are both included in the one purchase. There's a free demo too if you'd rather try before you buy. I'd genuinely love to hear what producers, beatmakers, composers and sound designers think once they've had hands on it.
Link: https://lostsynapse.store/
If you grab it and make something with it, send it my way. I really want to hear it.

I built a local Splice Studio alternative for Ableton and other DAWS to stop losing my work and fix the 'Save As' mess.
Hey everyone,
Like many of you, I’ve always found it incredibly frustrating how fragile project files can be when you're pushing heavy plugin loads. You're deep into a mix, and suddenly Logic or any other DAW crashes, a file corrupts, or you simply realize that the arrangement you had three hours ago sounded way better.
Ever since Splice Studio was shut down, I feel like there hasn’t been a truly seamless way to track project history. We're all back to naming our files Track_Mix_v3_FINAL_really_Final.logicx.
To fix this for my own workflow, I spent the last few months building a tool called CREATIVE-Rewind.
I wanted to share it here because it finally brought back that "peace of mind" for me. Here is how it works:
Completely Local: It runs silently in the background and takes lightweight, automated snapshots of your Logic project folder directly on your Mac. No cloud uploads, no forced subscriptions.
Zero Interruption: You just keep working in Logic. It stays completely out of your creative flow.
Instant Revert: If a file gets corrupted or you want to A/B test a previous mix state, you can browse a visual timeline and restore the exact project from hours or days ago in seconds.
Ableton Live Change overview: See in the timeline what changed in your Live set. On an experimental basis, Ableton Live users get help documenting their snapshots.
I just will launch the first official version very soon. There will be a free trial available, so you can throw it at your own sessions without any risk.
You can check it out here: www.creative-rewind.com or just ask :D
I’d genuinely love to hear if this makes sense for your daily Logic workflow. Let me know what you think!
Cheers! Greetings from Frankfurt am Main, Germany

[Selling] RelayDock: use your Push 3 as a Cubase 15 control surface
I'm the developer. I built this because my Push 3 sat mostly unused whenever I worked in Cubase. It puts Cubase track names and colors on the Push display. The encoders run an 8-channel mix page and the selected track's plug-ins and Quick Controls. The pads play Cubase instruments in scale, Note-mode style.
Push 3 only (no Push 2 yet). Live has to be closed while it runs. The Mac version is in beta. Windows is an early preview that hasn't been tested with a Push yet.
The free demo doesn't expire. Pro is $29 one-time.

Happy to answer questions here.

Looking to sell my Ableton Live 10 Suite EDU license for £280 ($400).
It's a great way to get all the features of Suite at a much lower price if you're a school/uni student and if you don't need Live 11's features (which you likely won't).
I'll do whatever I can to make it a safe transaction. DM if interested. Cheers

Looking for either a cheap edu suite license (10 or 11) or a reasonably priced Suite 11 license. There's no upgrade discounts on edu licenses so I want the price to reflect that, especially if its a 10 license. Let me know!

Selling an Ableton Live 9 Suite (Education) license. If you're located in BC, Canada, I also have the physical box (all original contents) , an Ableton Push (first gen) and a few other things for sale.
Considering you can upgrade to Suite 11 for an additional 289 CAD and the price of a *new* license is 969 CAD, I'm thinking 400 CAD is more than fair.
Note: AFAIK "Education" doesn't mean anything is different. It's the full Suite version. I just got it at a student discount.

Hi,
I'd like to sell an Ableton Live Lite license.
I've got the license after buying my Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol M32 controller.
Ableton is inaccessible to blind people so I've never even touched the serial number.
I'm unsure as to what's the best price to sell for so I'm willing to negotiate.

Hi everyone! I, too, am new to music production, and would sincerely appreciate it if someone has a Live Lite (11?) code to spare/sell; even better if you're willing to work out some kind of deal for it, but either way I'd love to give back to other music-lovers.
Thank you!
Edit: Acquired, thank you for being such an amazing community!

does someone have the Sample Magic Ableton Magic Racks: Vaporwave Racks (not the racks included in the 'Vaporwave 2' pack, but the Vaporwave racks sold on their own)? as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUqTKMJrmcA and announced here: https://rekkerd.org/sample-magic-releases-breaks-and-beats-dusty-dirty-tops-and-vaporwave-racks/ There are no longer available for sale since SM got bought by Splice, who didn't bother to list the Ableton racks :(( These 5 Vaporwave Racks are called "Aesthetic rack", "Old Cassette Rack", "Faulty VHS Rack", "Reverb Machine" and "Hiss Machine"; if you manage to find one in Live, the other ones should be in the same place. . thanks
