Best part about being a dolphins fan is I will literally never have to see my team lose to the dolphins. Cant imagine how bad that must feel

Just the coaching staff, the front office has done a great job setting us up. Glenn is just incompetent
34
u/MasterOfMyDomain12 Patriots 1d ago
I got angry watching Glenn against the Pats last week. Jets have some decent talent. That coaching staff is atrocious.
7
u/Thedownvote_farmer 1d ago
I’m a casual, is this satire or genuine?
33
u/unexpectedreboots Patriots 1d ago
This is genuine. The Jets are good on paper.
They legitimately dont have the coaching staff.
Worst rz td% by a landslide. They are absolutely powerfucked in the last 2 minutes of any half.

It’s bad when every game the announcers start going “hmmm…uhhhh…well that’s interesting. Don’t know what they see that makes them hold timeouts like that.”

u/christiCollie Bills 1d ago
Jets have alot of decent pieces on on offense. Good receivers, a good O Line good Running back. They are in theory and extremely good landing spot for a rookie QB. Defensively they are rough on talent but don't look god awful which is always nice. They also have 3 first round picks this year to either go after a QB of their choice or load up on young talent. Glenn sucks but the Jets are legit in the best position out of all the rebuilding teams imo. Unfortunately it's the Jets so they will fuck it up somehow.
7
u/thewhitelink Dolphins Eagles 1d ago
Jets D is clearly god awful
Willis has looked like the worst QB in the league pretty much every other week this year

Mougey is in his first year and has seemingly put together a decent roster (knowing he didn't get a great one to begin with) and has 3 firsts coming up. So genuine at this point.

100 million cap space next off season also with no important expiring contracts. We could be great next year

This seems like the game that “ends” the Aaron Glenn regime. Not necessarily him getting fired this week but feels like no way he can make it to Year 3.

Now would be the only time that makes sense if you are going to make the move. Bye week next week. You have Reich. Give him two weeks to prepare for the rest of the season.
But it doesnt matter. 4-13 is probably the peak at this point regardless. Doesnt matter who is running this mess.
Edit. Im stupid. Bye is not next week.

Don't tell me the Jets are better than last year. Don't tell me they're competitive. Don't tell me they're "almost there." They are sloppy. They are unprepared. They are shooting themselves in the foot consistently. This team sucks just like it has sucked for the past 16 fucking years.

The jets are aggressively mediocre which is in fact an improvement (somehow)

Big dog, I had to read comments last week about how Glenn had improved and they were competitive and playing hard for him.
How can ANYONE defend this incompetence.

Really didnt think the fins would win a single game this year with all that dead cap. This says more about the jets imo lol
19
u/Accomplished_Lead262 Dolphins 1d ago
we're alot better than people think. Even with the dead cap, theres alot more talent than the 2019 team that won 5 games. Alot of very good, young talent on this team that is improving weekly. We arent going to win many games...but well suprise a couple of teams.
14
u/Optimal_Cook_851 49ers 1d ago
At one point, Miamis opponents had 1 combined loss on the season. They aren’t good, but they’ve also got the hardest schedule,
5
u/HandsomeHodge Dolphins 1d ago
Unfortunately one of the tie breakers for draft position is strength of schedule. If our record ties with another bad team we wont get #1 pick.

Not so bad. Different conferences, at least. Could have relocated and decided to at least give a nod to the local team.
There's at least one account I've seen with Jet-Patriots. And another Lions-Packers. Those make my head hurt. Neither seemed like trolls as best I recall, either.
Still looking for Eagles-Cowboys. 🤷♂️

...Yeah I give up. The New York Jets will never be good. The worst part is I can't just switch teams, I'm already emotionally invested in them in a way I can't replicate in my adult life.
Hey, do me a favor- If you overhear a kid say they want to root for the Jets, put them over your knee and spank them, even if they're not yours. You'll probably get arrested and might go to prison, but when the kid grows up, they'll thank you for it.

I'm Mets and Rangers and our teams have been a joke for a long time but my Jet fan friends - I feel for them - rooting for our teams is like a genetic disorder- you know it isn't good for you but you can't do anything about it.

Buddy my kid (almost 6) tells me he likes the Jets. He says “they’re way cooler than dolphins because they fly, and they have a cool song with the fireman”
I hate the jets so much I’m just letting him like them. The fact he’s in for an sad life of pain as a jets fan in his older adultier life bring me much more comfort than it ought to hahahaha

I'm done. This franchise is hopeless with the Johnsons running it. I'd say fire Glenn and let Reich have the bye week to prepare for the rest of the year. But who cares. High draft pick for us and the Colts. So what. We wont draft a good QB. Its a culture of losers.
So sick of hearing about next year. Fucking do something.
28
u/ColtCallahan 1d ago
This is good for the Jets in the long run. They’ve got good pieces and incredible draft capital.
They need to lose Glenn. He’s not a HC.

Keeping Glenn when they have three first round picks would be the most Jets choice ever.

It's nice how the Jets always give winless teams their first win of the season. My Bengals decided to return the favor last season.

The New York Jets lost to the New Orleans Saints 21–20 on December 14, 1980 making the Jets the only team to lose to the 1–15 Saints that season.

The second half was very ugly at times, but I will absolutely take the win. It feels good to no longer winless, and it always feels great to beat a hated rival.
Caleb Douglas is a very special player.

there's so many rookies on this team I feel good about. Taaffe's int in the first was a great play. Rodriguez is a beast. Douglas and Bell have the making of a good wr corp. I could go on

100%. I am feeling good, too. My hope is they continue to progress and we have a really solid offseason and can be in a better place to compete in 2027 (and beyond).

You know what I’m not even mad, the offense looks good. The team has great pieces, no big expiring contracts, 100 million cap space next year, and awesome draft capital. We know Glenn is the problem, he’s easy to replace next year. We can be a double digit win team next year.
Sucks we are burning another year though.

We should start a full tank fire Glenn, sign anyone that could be interesting on defense on the waiver wire same for guard depth. Keep the offense in tact they are playing competently and there is no need to stunt development of our young pieces. Our defense should be whose who of udfa of last years draft
