see these are the kind of transitions the show should be using, not ghost wheelchair

Okay, this is great, hope there is more.

u/Batby Feb 12 '16
Any chance of doing season 1 & 2 of Arrow after the season?
4
u/OnBenchNow killing is no Feb 12 '16
No, sorry. The off-season's a break for me too. I'm actually not super sure if I'll continue doing this after the ends of the shows' seasons, but we'll see.

Feb 11 '16
Completely underplayed unexpected consequences
Former league assassins should either join Darkrhrrk, reek havoc on their own, or form splinter groups. The writers should make this a story line that mimics the Iraq to ISIS situation.
31
u/thecoffee Felicity, just how many Billionaires do you know? Feb 11 '16
I assume since they gave one of them a unique face and a name, she will pop back up at some point.
8
34
u/KnightofNi92 Feb 11 '16
Not to mention, isn't Darhkrkrhkrk's group already a splinter of the LoA? So with both pretenders gone...only choice is Darhk.

u/Hafas_ The Punisher Feb 11 '16
Wasn't Oliver in Season 1 a trained, uncontrolled, self-righteous killer who was running (and jumping) around?

"What if I told you Felicity was great, strong, and powerful?" is now my go to argument.

"damn that usually works" I laughed out loud at this. and i'm at work. and now getting strange looks..

Love this pic, I think more arrows have been shot in this episode than the whole season

"You dare reject the BARROWMAN?" hahaha
also, they messed up with having the league of assassins be free to roam the earth under no ones control
47
u/Eric-J Feb 11 '16
Seriously. How many of them immediately said, "I wonder if HIVE is hiring?"
28
u/RimeSkeem Feb 11 '16
It does speak to what Merlyn said about how he would never give this kind of power to Nyssa. She's kind of a huge idiot.
52
u/Mullet_Ben Feb 11 '16
Oh my god, I completely forgot about Malcolm lying to Thea about a cure at the start of the season. The throwbacks are real.

Genuinely laughed so hard at that one :D

u/SlightlyProficient Feb 11 '16
I'm weirdly in love with Nyssa's acceptance of Oliver as her husband. It's a cool dynamic.
120
u/iamcatch22 Feb 11 '16
I just like Nyssa. She's my favorite female character in the series, probably because she doesn't take shit form anyone. That, and she hasn't had enough screen time for her character to get fucked by romantic melodrama. She's a lesbian who's lover is time travelling and is married to Oliver. She don't give a fuck about Oliver's son or that he threw a Christmas party instead of a holiday party
31
u/SlightlyProficient Feb 11 '16
Personally, Sara is my favorite female character (and just straight up my favorite character) but I definitely love Nyssa too.
50
u/TheRealDJ Feb 11 '16
Now I'm just hoping Sara, Nyssa and Oliver just embrace the non-religious polygamy they know they want and all move in together.
22
Feb 11 '16
I'm okay with this. In fact, I've heavily endorsed this arrangement in the past. In my world, I'd see to it that Thea ended up being the naked score keeper and sex position coordinator for this tryst. But that's just me.
16
10
u/Eternal_Density Feb 11 '16
Does Laurel figure into this in any way?
12
5
u/ajdragoon Feb 11 '16
Phew, thanks for saving me from posting the links, haha. Nyssa's face is perfect for that response.

u/StealthHikki Feb 11 '16 edited Feb 11 '16
I lost it for a few minutes at "They're called "arrows", Oliver.".
The episode was nice, the street fight felt like the first real fight the show had in a while.

Feb 11 '16
Excellent job on that "Fathers on the show are dicks." Oliver's punchline "well I'm a Father"
11
u/mikefarquar Feb 11 '16
This was maybe the best one you've done yet. That first exchange with Oliver and Nyssa was gold.

Is there a difference in the sweaters? Am colorblind. Can't confirm.
25
u/iamcatch22 Feb 11 '16
Where he was standing had green lighting, so his clothes looked green. When he moved, they looked grey. No clothes changing, just lighting
11
4
u/Tsorovar Feb 12 '16
There's a green light behind him. So from behind-ish in the first picture, it looks green tinted. From in front, it looks grey (which it is).

16
u/kchung85 Feb 11 '16
I think we need a count for "Felicity is a great and powerful woman." Like the Ray fuck-up one.
11
u/DarthTauri Feb 11 '16
Every one of the shows needs a counter, do it by season.. let an episode or 2 air then pick something funny to count.
For Arrow its the "Felicity is a great, strong, and powerful woman counter"
Im drawing a blank on The Flash, theres already a guy counting up "Are you ok" on that show.
Havent watched enough Supergirl to know what theyd count.
16
u/Eternal_Density Feb 11 '16
For Supergirl, Kara pulling the "My parents are dead and my planet exploded, so I totally know how you feel" card. She does that pretty often.
8
u/Makverus Feb 11 '16
You missed the word "Тот" in the beggining if the Russian saying. Just sayin' (see what I did there?)
7
5
u/Proxify Feb 11 '16
Russian
and what does it say?. For reference
8
u/calderon501 Feb 11 '16
According to Google's camera translate...
The hammer that smashes glass forges steel
8
u/Makverus Feb 12 '16
Hey, theres' a joke there, actually, I didn't notice) In the episode they say "The same hammer that shatters glass, forges steel". The u/OnBenchNow one says the opposite: "The same hamer that forges glass, shatters steel". Good one))
15
u/GemShady27 Don't Go Toward The Corn Field Feb 11 '16
Nyssa can resist the great and powerful Felecity.... love her :D

12
u/your_mind_aches Feb 11 '16
Eh. I think this episode did a pretty good job resolving WHY Oliver didn't kill Merlyn.
EDIT1: "bitch i'm always dressed to slay" HAHAHAHA
15
u/dalr3th1n Feb 11 '16
I don't know. I got what they were going for, but it seemed so weak. Every time Oliver started listing all the terrible stuff Malcolm has done, I kept expecting him to change his mind and decide he should kill him.
Yeah, he's Thea's biological father, but what if you were best friends with Hitler's kid?

Could you please explain this reference to me?

The much derided love interest for Clark Kent in Smallville, who just kept coming back long past her welcome.
Felicity <3 is getting tiresome.

u/CarlLady Apr 02 '16
And her dad was a doctor? Just trying to make sure I didn't miss something about Oliver with some doctor's daughter or knowing some doctor.

It is with a heavy heart I must inform you that there isn't enough love for Olicity in your comment. Try re-posting your comment with something more Olicity-positive in it... something along the lines of 'olicity is love', 'felicity <3', 'olicity <3', 'oliver + felicity 4ever', 'olicity ship it', 'olicity is the best romance of the 21st century' or other things!

Probably an elevator to the top floor, and then Oliver carrying Felicity, while Diggle carries the wheelchair..
28
u/PixelatedBaloney That's Mr. Diggle-Wiggle. Feb 11 '16
Have you seen Diggle's arms? He probably just carried them all up the stairs. Felicity was hooked around his wrist like a handbag, Laurel was held up by her belt loop on one of his fingers, and Ollie took center stage in the cradle of Dig's arms.
12
u/thecoffee Felicity, just how many Billionaires do you know? Feb 11 '16
Ollie probably carried her upstairs, Diggle handled the wheels.
11
5
u/lame_corprus THIS CITY Feb 12 '16
And what the hell was she even doing there? You'd think Oliver would prefer to keep her out of harm's way, especially when she's definitely not needed in any manner
7
u/bmstile Feb 11 '16
Ms Technowonderwoman, CEO of a cutting edge technology company...can't get a motorized wheelchair...
5
u/xipheon Feb 12 '16
Why, her arms work. They're heavy, awkward, and you get more control from a manual.

X-Men. I think it was X2, but I'm not completely sure about that.
2
u/TriumphantBass Feb 12 '16
It's in a few of the movies. X2, First Class, and Days of Future past at the very least. They do it a ton in the comics too.

Have fun!
So, question. My method of just having a big list in the comments with links to old synopses was getting a little long, so I have this subreddit now where you can find all of them:
/r/OnBenchNow
WHat do you guys think? Is it easier if I just have the list? Subreddit better?
